The partnership with Attentive Science arrives as the GCC experiences significant biotech and pharmaceutical interest driving the creation of advanced laboratory facilities.

MENA – Innovive has signed a distribution and co-marketing agreement with Attentive Science Ltd., headquartered in Masdar City, to distribute its full portfolio of wash-free recyclable caging systems, racks, and consumables throughout the GCC and broader MENA regions, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Egypt, and Jordan.
Innovive’s recyclable, disposable individually ventilated caging system eliminates the need for washrooms in laboratories, reducing capital investment, space requirements, and labor costs while enabling rapid scalability.
The company’s closed-loop recycling solution aligns with a zero-waste mission, ensuring that used caging is returned, processed, and turned into new products rather than sent to landfill.
Why Recyclable Caging Matters for Research
Traditional vivarium operations require industrial cage washing equipment, which consumes large volumes of water, energy, and detergent while occupying valuable laboratory space.
Washrooms also create bottlenecks, as researchers must wait for clean cages before housing new animals.
Innovive’s single-use, wash-free system eliminates the washroom entirely. After use, the caging is returned to Innovive, where the polypropylene-based components are recycled into new cages, closing the material loop.
The partnership with Attentive Science arrives as the GCC experiences significant biotech and pharmaceutical interest driving the creation of advanced laboratory facilities.
With small animal models dominating preclinical drug development, Innovive’s IVC system is engineered specifically to meet the rigorous demands of this critical research phase.
A Demonstration Site for the Region
Jamie Blose, CEO of Innovive, explained that Attentive Science brings deep regional expertise, regulatory knowledge, and a state-of-the-art vivarium facility that will serve as a premier demonstration site for Innovive’s technology in the Middle East.
Tareq Abu-Nadi, CEO & Co-Founder of Attentive Science, noted that Innovive’s single-use housing technology aligns perfectly with the rapid growth of biomedical research infrastructure in the GCC and MENA region.
He added that the company is proud to serve as Innovive’s regional partner and to introduce advanced, biosecure, and workflow-optimized solutions to research institutions across the region.
When Laboratory Packaging Closes the Loop
A cage that houses research mice seems far removed from conversations about packaging circularity. But Innovive’s system, polypropylene components, returned for recycling, processed into new cages, is packaging by another name.
The same principles of mono-material design, closed-loop logistics, and end-of-life recovery apply.
For laboratories in the GCC, the shift from washing to recycling is not just an operational change; it is a circular economy pilot with implications far beyond the vivarium door.
