Label & Litho boosts capabilities with South Africa’s first Nilpeter FB-14 installation

The FB-14 is the latest addition to Nilpeter’s acclaimed FB line of flexographic printing presses.

SOUTH AFRICA – Label & Litho, a leading South African label converter, has become the first company in the country to install the Nilpeter FB-14 flexo press.

The milestone investment underscores Label & Litho’s long-standing commitment to innovation and highlights Nilpeter’s growing footprint across the African continent.

The FB-14 is the latest addition to Nilpeter’s acclaimed FB line of flexographic printing presses. Compact yet powerful, the press is engineered for high-quality output with a strong emphasis on automation, efficiency, and cost-effective production.

The sale and seamless coordination of the project were made possible through CSM, Nilpeter’s trusted local partner in South Africa. CSM has played a pivotal role in supporting Nilpeter’s growing customer base in the region.

“It is always a special moment to confirm a new press order with Label & Litho,” said Jesper Jørgensen, Global Sales Manager at Nilpeter.

“As a loyal customer and long-term partner, our relationship is built on more than just business—it’s rooted in mutual trust, respect, and shared values. I’ve had the privilege of working with several generations of the Smit family, and it’s a point of pride to see our collaboration continue into the future.

“With this FB-14 investment, Label & Litho is once again asserting its leadership in the South African market—and we’re honored to be part of their growth journey.”

The new FB-14 press expands Label & Litho’s production capabilities for pressure-sensitive labels, wraparound labels, and tags, serving sectors such as food and beverage, household care, health and beauty, and industrial applications.

It also strengthens the company’s ability to deliver customized, high-quality solutions with rapid turnaround times.

A third-generation family business, Label & Litho has a rich heritage dating back to the early 1960s. The company, as it exists today, was founded in 1996 through the merger of two printing businesses—Esmar Printers and Akasia Rekenaarvorms en Ettikette—run by the Smit brothers.

Based in Rosslyn, Pretoria, Label & Litho provides a range of flexographic, lithographic, and digital printing services to clients across South Africa.

Renowned for its emphasis on personalization, quality, and customer service, Label & Litho is driven by the motto of “printing your imagination.”

The company is a Level 2 BEE-certified enterprise committed to sustainable growth and empowering its workforce.

The FB-14 installation follows Nilpeter’s renewed focus on the African market, which was recently reinforced through its participation at Propak Africa in Johannesburg.

The Label & Litho order not only confirms the relevance of Nilpeter’s technologies in the region but also signals the brand’s ambition to support the evolving needs of Africa’s next generation of printers.
