Lindal Group debuts new actuator range for personal and healthcare markets

The actuator is suitable for aluminum and tinplate cans and is compatible with all Lindal male valves and BOV systems.

GERMANY – Lindal Group has introduced three new actuator platforms, Snap, Luna and Matteo, aimed at strengthening its position across healthcare, personal care and homecare applications, including nasal formulations and aluminium spray cans.

The launch reflects growing demand for precision dosing, safety features and premium aesthetics in aerosol packaging, particularly as brands seek differentiation in regulated and high-value segments.

Snap is a spray head actuator engineered specifically for nasal applications in the healthcare sector.

Offered in both adult and child variants, the actuator supports sterilization processes and incorporates a mechanical break-up spray system designed to deliver controlled and effective dosing.

The solution is supplied with Lindal’s Bag-on-Valve (BOV) systems, enabling 360-degree dispensing and product protection from external contamination.

According to the company, Snap is compatible with all standard nasal overcaps currently available on the market, providing flexibility for pharmaceutical and over-the-counter product manufacturers.

Safety-driven design for home and personal care

The 35mm Luna actuator targets personal and homecare applications and features a twist-lock mechanism with a visible on/off indicator.

An audible click confirms actuation, a design intended to minimize accidental discharge during storage or transport.

Luna is suitable for aluminium and tinplate cans and works with all Lindal male valves and BOV systems. It also supports the full range of Lindal inserts, while multicolour combinations allow brand owners to tailor aesthetics to specific product lines.

Meanwhile, the two-part Matteo actuator features a 45mm spray head developed for personal care formats.

Compatible with aluminium transfer and tinplate cans, Matteo is available with both mechanical and non-mechanical break-up inserts.

It works with Lindal’s CA39 and LIP male valves, and its body and finger pad colours can be customized to enhance shelf appeal.

The new actuator introductions align with broader market trends prioritizing ergonomics, dosing accuracy and consumer safety, particularly in segments such as nasal sprays, haircare and body sprays.

Related developments in premium dispensing

In parallel industry developments, Aptar Beauty has launched a new dropper packaging solution for skincare and dermo-cosmetic products.

The system integrates automatic filling and a short applicator designed for hygienic and precise dosage.

The company attributes rising demand for high-performance dispensing formats to the ongoing “premiumization” of personal care, driven by self-care culture and increased consumer willingness to invest in wellness-oriented products.

Aptar Beauty is also expanding decorative and finishing capabilities across its dispensing portfolio, spanning aerosols, spray pumps and cosmetic pumps.

Decoration techniques include in-mould colouring, matte and glossy finishes, lacquering, water transfer, brushed metal effects and metal-like masterbatch solutions, with compatibility across plastic and metal components and sustainable material options.

Together, these launches underscore how functionality, safety and visual differentiation are becoming central to innovation strategies in the evolving personal and healthcare packaging landscape.
