Lundberg Tech debuts advanced 160-series all-in-one waste management system

The system incorporates a new anti-static paint coating to reduce static electricity buildup—an essential feature when handling lightweight or thin plastic waste materials that are prone to clinging or clumping

DENMARK – Lundberg Tech has unveiled its next-generation waste handling solution, the 160-series, an all-in-one unit engineered to meet the growing demand for efficient, automated, and sustainable waste management in modern production environments.

Building on the proven legacy of the 140-series—which boasts over 800 installations globally over the last 15 years—the 160-series introduces a range of technological enhancements designed to improve performance, ease of use, and operational efficiency.

Models from the previous range, such as the WasteTech 140, TrimCompactor 140, and MatrixCompactor 140, set the standard for compact, reliable waste systems. The new 160-series elevates that benchmark with robust new features.

A standout feature is the upgraded separator, optimized for higher speeds and wider production formats.

This makes it particularly suitable for today’s high-throughput facilities, where seamless integration and performance are crucial.

Additionally, the system incorporates a new anti-static paint coating to reduce static electricity buildup—an essential feature when handling lightweight or thin plastic waste materials that are prone to clinging or clumping.

The filtering system has also been significantly improved, offering more efficient, user-friendly filtering options that simplify maintenance and enhance overall system reliability.

Like its predecessor, the 160-series is available in three specialized configurations, each tailored to address specific waste handling challenges in diverse industrial settings.

The WasteTech 160 is a versatile all-rounder designed for general trim and waste management. It accommodates an exchangeable bag and an endless TubeBag system, offering flexibility depending on operational needs.

The TubeBag, in particular, allows for uninterrupted operation and easy disposal, making this configuration ideal for continuous production lines that demand minimal downtime.

The TrimCompactor 160 provides an effective solution for operations requiring waste volume reduction.

This model integrates the powerful WasteCompactor 250, significantly compressing collected waste.

As a result, it reduces the need for frequent disposal. It reduces storage space, making it a practical choice for facilities looking to optimize logistics and reduce waste handling costs.

The MatrixCompactor 160 is engineered specifically for adhesive and label matrix waste, which can be particularly challenging to manage due to its sticky nature.

Like the TrimCompactor, it incorporates the WasteCompactor 250, ensuring reliable processing and compacting difficult materials.

This configuration is especially suitable for labeling and converting operations where matrix waste is a constant by-product.

Each configuration of the 160-series reflects Lundberg Tech’s focus on customization, performance, and sustainability. Businesses can select the waste management solution that best aligns with their production processes and waste profiles.

The 160-series offers substantial benefits, including maximized return on investment through the automation of waste capture, conveyance, cutting, collection, and compaction.

This ensures production lines maintain full capacity with minimal manual intervention, boosting overall equipment effectiveness.

“The Lundberg Tech 160-series streamlines waste and is ideal for a variety of applications—including capturing and cutting endless trims from slitting, printing, packaging, and converting processes,” the company said in a statement.

“Integrating our waste solutions ensures smooth, efficient production while supporting sustainability and operational excellence.”
