Metal Park’s integrated model supports recycling activities by providing storage, processing, and fabrication under one roof, reducing the transportation distances between scrap collection points and end-users.

UAE – Metal Park has launched Phase Two of its Abu Dhabi industrial ecosystem, adding 700,000 square feet of metal processing units and over 130,000 tonnes of storage, with total capacity nearing 450,000 tonnes.
Built around a flexible operational model, Phase Two is designed to simplify industrial growth by combining plug-and-play infrastructure with pay-as-you-go flexibility.
The expansion aligns directly with the UAE’s national industrial agenda and the vision behind “Make it in the Emirates,” shifting the focus from ownership-driven industrial development to operational readiness and utilisation.
Recycling at the Core of the Metal Ecosystem
Metal recycling is fundamental to a circular metals economy, where scrap is collected, processed, and remelted into new products rather than landfilled.
Metal Park’s integrated model supports recycling activities by providing storage, processing, and fabrication under one roof, reducing the transportation distances between scrap collection points and end-users.
The UAE has been building its metals recycling capacity, with facilities processing aluminium, copper, and ferrous scrap for local remelting and export.
A dedicated industrial ecosystem for metals, with 450,000 tonnes of storage capacity, creates the infrastructure needed to aggregate scrap from multiple sources, sort it by grade, and prepare it for recyclers.
For a recycler, access to storage without long-term lease commitments reduces the capital required to enter the market.
A Dual-Hub Logistics Structure
As part of its continued expansion strategy, Metal Park has also strengthened its presence in Fujairah to complement its KEZAD operations and establish a resilient dual-hub logistics structure.
This integrated model supports uninterrupted metal flows across the UAE and regional markets, covering import, export, inland distribution, storage, processing, and fabrication through one connected ecosystem.
For metals recycling, logistics costs are a significant portion of delivered scrap price.
A dual-hub structure with port access in Fujairah and industrial integration in Abu Dhabi reduces trucking distances and port demurrage charges.
Pay-as-You-Go Industrialisation
Vahid Fouladkar, CEO of Metal Park, remarked that industrialisation is no longer about waiting to build; it is about starting to produce.
He stated that Phase Two continues that shift by enabling companies to enter the market faster, operate with greater flexibility, and scale with confidence as demand grows.
Metal Park has evolved from concept to a fully operational industrial ecosystem, with both its Production and Storage Hubs actively utilised by a growing network of regional and international companies.
Beyond Storage and Processing
Phase Two will also introduce expanded facilities including the expansion of the Business Centre with flexible office solutions, a dedicated Community Centre for partnerships, and enhancements to the Support Centre offering maintenance, testing, packaging, and operational services.
