INDIA – Multivac has officially inaugurated its Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad’s HITEC City, marking a strategic expansion of its digital and IT support operations.
The center will provide IT services and software development for the entire Multivac Group, reinforcing the company’s commitment to digital transformation and innovation.
The launch ceremony featured the cutting of the ribbon and the lighting of ceremonial lamps, attended by approximately 30 guests, including key government and industry figures.
Among them were Sri Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Special Chief Secretary, Department of ITE&C and Industries & Commerce, and Dr. E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, IFS, Special Secretary, Investment Promotion, Vice Chairman & MD of TGIIC, along with representatives of German industry in Telangana.
Sri Sanjay Kumar commended Multivac’s investment and assured support for future collaboration, urging the team to serve as ambassadors for Telangana in Germany.
Dr. Reddy emphasized Hyderabad’s deep talent pool and praised the Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) for equipping youth with industry-relevant skills.
Founded in March 2025, Multivac Technology Solutions India Private Ltd. is set to boost the Group’s IT capabilities, which already includes 250 professionals globally.
The Hyderabad GCC leverages the region’s rich talent base, robust IT ecosystem, strong government backing, and scalability potential.
“This expansion allows us to respond more rapidly and flexibly to customer inquiries and projects in IT and software development,” said Dr. Marius Grathwohl, Vice President Digital Products and Transformation at Multivac.
“Digitalization and highly automated, software-supported production lines are central to delivering intelligent, future-ready solutions.”
Wolfgang Rundel, Vice President Corporate IT, added that the Hyderabad team will be gradually scaled in the coming months.
“We will onboard senior developers and fresh graduates, aiming to grow our local team to around 50 employees by 2027.”
Multivac has maintained a strong presence in India for over 15 years and views the South Asia region as a key part of its international growth strategy.
Earlier in 2024, the company also inaugurated a new production facility in Rajasthan, further underlining its long-term commitment to the Indian market.
With the new GCC, Multivac is set to enhance its global IT operations while contributing to India’s growing reputation as a hub for high-value technology and innovation.
