Nuon Medical partners with Vagheggi Phytocosmetici to launch tech-integrated cap for premium skincare line

ITALY – Nuon Medical, an international innovator in cosmetic and skincare technology, has unveiled a new collaboration with Italian skincare manufacturer Vagheggi Phytocosmetici, supplying the brand with an advanced, tech-integrated cap for its Longévité 75.25 premium anti-aging range.

The device, known as the Efficacy Booster, is engineered directly into the lid of Vagheggi’s Longévité 75.25 day cream jar.

Designed to enhance the performance of the topical formulation, the smart cap integrates four targeted rejuvenation technologies that work together to elevate skincare delivery and effectiveness.

At the core of the device is red LED light therapy (630 nm), a wavelength widely recognised for its ability to stimulate collagen production, improve skin firmness, and support overall cellular renewal.

Complementing the LED function is microcurrent stimulation, which delivers gentle electrical impulses to help tone facial muscles and promote better absorption of active ingredients.

This technology is often used in professional skincare treatments to improve contouring and boost skin vitality.

The smart cap also features therapeutic warming, which lightly heats the application area to increase circulation and expand pores, allowing the formulation to penetrate more deeply.

This warming effect not only enhances comfort during use but also supports the activation of key ingredients.

Rounding out the system is vibration, a soothing mechanism that provides micro-massage benefits.

This helps relax facial tension, stimulates microcirculation, and encourages even distribution of the product across the skin’s surface.

Together, these four technologies create a multi-dimensional rejuvenation experience designed to maximize results with every application.

Nuon Medical says the multifunctional design supports Vagheggi’s objective of delivering more visible anti-aging results through a combined formula-and-device system.

“To support Vagheggi Phytocosmetici’s performance objectives, the brand chose to complement its cream with combined technologies, entrusting Nuon Medical with the design and development of an intelligent cap,” the company stated.

Promising study results

The innovation is backed by a Nuon-led efficacy study involving 20 participants aged 40–65 with visible wrinkles.

For 14 days, subjects applied the day cream twice daily and used the Efficacy Booster once daily for three minutes.

The evaluation showed an average 14.8% decrease in wrinkle depth, with some participants experiencing reductions of up to 40%.

Beyond measurable wrinkle improvement, participants also reported enhanced firmness, radiance, hydration, and a noticeable lifting and contour-reshaping effect.

Vagheggi’s Longévité 75.25 range is formulated to target 12 key signs of aging, including collagen loss, dehydration, dullness, and reduced elasticity.

The addition of Nuon’s device positions the line within the fast-growing “tech beauty” category, where brands are integrating diagnostics, LED therapy, and microcurrent stimulation directly into their product packaging.

This trend was highly visible at last week’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 in Las Vegas, where beauty tech made a strong showing.

Nuon Medical used the event to introduce a new intelligent packaging ecosystem that enables brands to embed sensing, treatment, and connectivity into personal care containers.

The company says the system transforms traditional applicators into “intelligent delivery engines,” supporting both enhanced formulation performance and real-time data tracking.

Industry analysts note that consumer demand for personalized, tech-driven skincare continues to rise, with major beauty houses exploring hardware-software ecosystems that blur the line between product and device.

The Nuon-Vagheggi partnership underscores how packaging is evolving into a central platform for treatment delivery, user engagement, and long-term brand innovation.
