PakTech introduces PakLock for hemp, cannabis beverages

USA – PakTech has launched PakLock, a certified child-resistant cap designed for hemp, CBD, and THC-infused beverages. 

The cap, crafted from 100% recycled and recyclable HDPE #2 plastic, offers a secure and cost-effective solution for brands in the growing infused beverage market. 

It meets the strict child-resistant standards of 16 CFR Part 1700.20, ensuring safety while maintaining ease of use for adults.

Safety and compatibility

The PakLock cap fits standard 202-260 and sleek 202-227 aluminum cans, making it versatile for various beverage formats. Its design allows for easy application and removal by adults while preventing unintended access by children. 

According to Brandon Rogers, CEO of PakTech, the cap balances safety and convenience, enabling brands to meet consumer needs effectively.

The development process, led by PakTech’s engineering team, focused on creating a product that adheres to rigorous safety standards without compromising sustainability. 

Ronnie Mellor, Design Engineering Manager, stated that innovative design solutions were key to achieving both certification and environmental goals.
