Parakh Flexipacks expands BOBST partnership with fourth printing press installation

INDIA – Parakh Flexipacks, a leading player in India’s flexible packaging sector, has deepened its collaboration with Swiss packaging machinery giant BOBST by commissioning its fourth printing press, the VISION CI Flexo.

The installation marks a decade-long partnership between the two companies and underscores Parakh’s strategy of investing in advanced technologies to scale production and meet rising demand.

Founded in 2003, Parakh Flexipacks is part of the ₹4,000 crore Parakh Group and serves a wide portfolio of industries, including FMCG, dairy, beverages, snacks, confectionery, hygiene products, and apparel.

The company operates a state-of-the-art facility equipped with both flexographic and rotogravure printing technologies and exports high-quality printed packaging films to global markets.

Speaking on the installation, Harshal Parakh, Executive Director, highlighted the role of BOBST’s smartGPS system in transforming production workflows.

“BOBST smartGPS has significantly reduced our reliance on highly skilled operators for precision registration while minimizing setup times and substrate waste. By enhancing consistency and reducing human error, it enables us to scale high-quality production and meet evolving market demands.”

Vinay Nalawade, CEO, said the VISION CI Flexo has already delivered measurable results.

“The press has consistently delivered exceptional performance, significantly enhancing our productivity. Its robust engineering, including a cast iron frame, carbon fiber shafts, and precise drive controls, minimizes vibrations for high-speed, high-precision output.”

The new press incorporates a range of advanced features designed to improve efficiency and sustainability.

These include automatic plate cylinder bearing systems, semi-floatation drying, and face-to-face winders, all of which help reduce waste, energy use, and downtime. Executives also praised BOBST India’s strong service support, which has ensured seamless commissioning and minimal operational disruptions.

The VISION CI Flexo has already surpassed 100 global installations since its launch, strengthening BOBST’s position as a leading innovator in the flexographic printing space.

For Parakh Flexipacks, the investment reflects its long-term growth ambitions in both domestic and export markets, where demand for sustainable, high-quality packaging continues to climb.
