FRANCE – Paris Packaging Week organizer Easyfairs has unveiled its captivating conference program for the January 2024 event, gathering distinguished industry specialists to present exclusive insights spanning beauty, luxury, premium drinks, and aerosols markets.
The program encompasses over 100 expert speakers participating in diverse talks, awards, and debates across Paris Packaging Week on January 17 & 18 at Paris Expo Portes de Versailles.
The event will introduce a new lineup of stages addressing key packaging challenges: the Circular Economy Stage, the Future Innovation Forum, the Pentawards Design Stage, and the Global Aerosol & Dispensing Summit.
The Circular Economy Stage centers on sustainability, featuring crucial discussions on the imminent Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) reform by the EU—a pivotal topic affecting nearly every market sector.
Keynote speaker Kay Lee, General Director of AMOREPACIFIC Europe and Goutal, will be joined by experts from brands like Yves Rocher, Rémy Martin, Moët Hennessy, and L’Oréal.
Stéphanie Lumbers, Sustainable Development Director at La Fédération des Entreprises de la Beauté (FEBEA), highlighted the significance of PPWR for cosmetics companies, emphasizing its role in reshaping operational strategies and addressing challenges surrounding packaging bans, recyclability, and size constraints.
The Future Innovation Forum promises to inspire with discussions on cutting-edge packaging technologies, material innovations, startups, and advancements like AI in innovation.
Notable speakers include Jeremy Lindley, global design director at Diageo, and representatives from Dermalogica, LVMH, De Baschmakoff design agency, among others.
The stage’s highlight will be the Future Leaders panel, gathering young innovators sharing transformative insights in packaging.
Stépane Amarsy, CEO of tech consultancy The Next Mind, stresses the need for companies to acknowledge technological realities and actively drive the necessary transformation in packaging, aiming to alter mindsets and foster proactive engagement.
The Pentawards Design Stage focuses on design, branding, and upcoming consumer trends, curated by the Pentawards. Key figures like Nicolas Loufrani, CEO of the Smiley Company, and Catherine Lee, VP of packaging design at Fenty Beauty, will present alongside talks from various design agencies and brands.
The Global Aerosol & Dispensing Summit, part of the ADF show, brings together influential voices to discuss sustainability and innovation in the aerosol sector.
Produced in collaboration with the FEA, it will feature discussions on regulatory issues, innovation opportunities, and sustainability initiatives from industry leaders.
Christelle Anya, Content and Community Director at Paris Packaging Week, aims to provide informative and inspiring talks, fostering understanding and creation of optimal packaging solutions. The event aims to offer a comprehensive perspective on present and future packaging trends.
Paris Packaging Week comprises four concurrent showcases – ADF, PCD, PLD, and Packaging Première, catering to various sectors including aerosols, beauty, personal care, premium drinks, and luxury markets.
With more speakers and events yet to be revealed and a sold-out show floor boasting 650 exhibitors, this edition promises to be the most expansive Paris Packaging Week to date.
