The enlarged facility is placed to handle increased volumes of time-sensitive life sciences shipments.

GERMANY – Global temperature-controlled packaging specialist Peli BioThermal has completed a major expansion of its Frankfurt Service Centre, tripling the facility’s operational capacity to meet growing demand from pharmaceutical manufacturers and logistics providers across Europe.
The expansion marks a significant investment in one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical and logistics hubs, positioning Frankfurt as a central node in Peli BioThermal’s global service network.
Located near Frankfurt International Airport, the enlarged facility is strategically placed to handle increased volumes of time-sensitive life sciences shipments both within Europe and to international destinations.
The upgraded service centre now offers enhanced conditioning technology, greater operational throughput, and faster turnaround times for reusable temperature-controlled shippers.
These improvements are designed to support the stringent logistics needs of vaccines, biologics, and other temperature-sensitive therapies, ensuring safe and compliant transport throughout the pharmaceutical cold chain.
Peli BioThermal said the expansion reflects its continued commitment to investment in high-growth regions critical to global health logistics.
“The Frankfurt expansion underscores Peli BioThermal’s commitment to investing in regions central to pharmaceutical cold chain logistics, reinforcing the company’s trusted global service network and supporting continued growth across Europe,” the company said in a statement.
CEO Sam Herbert emphasized the site’s importance, “Frankfurt plays a vital role in global pharmaceutical supply chains.
“By significantly expanding our service centre here, we are strengthening our European infrastructure and ensuring our customers have the scale, speed, and reliability they need to deliver life-saving treatments where and when they are needed most.”
The facility forms part of Peli BioThermal’s Crēdo™ on Demand rental program and Crēdo™ Cube reusable packaging systems, which are designed to maintain payload integrity from manufacturer to patient.
The company’s global network spans major biopharma corridors across North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, offering conditioning, cleaning, and repair services to optimize reuse and reduce waste.
With Europe’s pharmaceutical exports projected to rise steadily amid increasing biologics production and clinical trial activity, Peli BioThermal’s expanded Frankfurt hub enhances regional resilience and capacity for end-to-end cold chain assurance, a critical enabler for the delivery of advanced therapies and vaccines worldwide.
