President Container Group strengthens luxury fashion packaging with RHE Garment line, 19,020-solar-panel farm

The combination of PCG’s sustainable manufacturing infrastructure, solar energy, closed-loop water recycling, closed-loop fibre recycling, with RHE’s patented garment protection solutions creates a vertically integrated platform for luxury fashion brands.

USA – President Container Group has transformed its Middletown super plant into a vertically integrated hub for luxury garment packaging, using 19,020 solar panels and closed-loop water and fibre recycling systems to produce RHE Container Company’s patented hanger-pack line.

The 522,000-square-foot New York facility operates the largest privately owned solar farm in the state, an 11-acre, 2-megawatt array providing 25% of the plant’s annual energy needs.

On peak sunny days, the installation can power the entire operation, including the Fosber Corrugator and finishing equipment.

A conveyor network beneath all machinery captures corrugated scrap and routes it directly to the baling room for closed-loop fibre recycling, ensuring zero waste from production.

A separate closed-loop water recycling system treats and reuses process water repeatedly, with steam as the only release point.

PCG’s corrugated materials contain up to 90% recycled content, backed by Forest Stewardship Council and Sustainable Forestry Initiative certifications.

From 1951 New York City Startup to Patented Crossbar Innovation

RHE Container Company began in 1951 when Aaron Feder launched a corrugated container business in New York City.

The company pivoted to clothing hanger packs and wardrobe boxes in 1961, securing its first patent that year and a second in 2003 covering a crossbar design for garment protection.

After 73 years of family ownership, RHE became part of President Container Group in December 2023.

The acquisition brought RHE’s patented hanger-pack and wardrobe box product line into PCG’s portfolio, with President Industrial Products managing nationwide distribution and Tech Pak providing assembly capacity.

Next-day shipping is available within the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut tri-state area for orders placed before close of business.

Why Patented Hanger-Pack Design Demands High-Quality Printing Substrates

The patented crossbar design for garment hanger packs and wardrobe boxes protects high-end apparel during transit while maintaining clear print visibility for fashion brand logos and care instructions.

RHE’s hanger-pack line is described as environmentally friendly and sustainable, with PCG’s corrugated components manufactured specifically for these patented applications.

The combination of PCG’s sustainable manufacturing infrastructure, solar energy, closed-loop water recycling, closed-loop fibre recycling, with RHE’s patented garment protection solutions creates a vertically integrated platform for luxury fashion brands requiring high-performance packaging with superior printing surfaces for retail display branding.
