RFBL Flexi Pack secures US$2.4M film supply order, bolsters flexible packaging portfolio

The order covers specialty films that provide essential barrier protection against moisture, oxygen and light, properties that directly impact shelf life for packaged foods, pharmaceuticals and consumer goods.

INDIA – RFBL Flexi Pack has secured a Rs 20 crore (US$2.4 million) domestic order from 3B Films for transparent and metallised films, reinforcing its position in the flexible packaging segment serving food, pharmaceutical and FMCG sectors.

The order, scheduled for execution over the next four months, strengthens the company’s order pipeline following its SME IPO listing on the NSE in May 2026.

The company clarified the contract involves no related-party transaction or promoter interest.

From Himatnagar Factory to UAE Subsidiary: A Strategic Growth Trajectory

Headquartered in Himatnagar, Gujarat, RFBL Flexi Pack operates a strategically located manufacturing facility near the Rajasthan-Gujarat border, providing logistical advantages for serving clients across western and northern India.

The company reported FY26 revenue of Rs 148.37 crore (US$17.8 million) with a net profit of Rs 8.25 crore (US$988,000), up from Rs 135 crore (US$16.2 million) in the previous year.

Founded in 2005 by Kunjit Patel, the company has built a diversified product portfolio including multilayer plastic films, pouches and woven fabric packaging materials, with scrap generated during operations sold for further processing.

Why Metallised and Transparent Films Are Critical for Food and Pharma Supply Chains

The order covers specialty films that provide essential barrier protection against moisture, oxygen and light, properties that directly impact shelf life for packaged foods, pharmaceuticals and consumer goods.

These films are manufactured using advanced processes such as metallisation, lamination and extrusion coating to meet specific end-use requirements.

The company sources key raw materials including BOPP films, cast polyethylene, cast polypropylene, adhesives and inks from a network of established suppliers.

The order follows the company’s decision to establish a wholly owned subsidiary in the UAE to support international expansion and strengthen its presence in overseas markets.

A Newly Listed Player’s Bet on India’s Packaging Growth Story

India’s plastic film packaging market, valued at 1.93 million tonnes in FY2025, is projected to reach 3.81 million tonnes by FY2035, growing at a 7.05 percent CAGR, driven by rising urbanization, expanding organized retail and stricter packaging standards.

RFBL Flexi Pack’s ability to secure repeat business from 3B Films demonstrates its capacity to serve diverse end-use industries while maintaining ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality assurance.

The company’s stock has delivered approximately 60 percent returns since its May 2026 listing.
