USA – Schreiner ProTech has introduced a new series of smart labels with integrated RFID capabilities designed to withstand harsh manufacturing and operational environments.
Recently optimized for industrial applications, the Robust RFID-Labels ensure reliable, trackable connectivity across various high-demand sectors, including electronics and automotive components.
The Robust RFID-Label features an integrated RFID tag, securely housed within the label’s specialized construction.
This design protects the RFID chip from potential damage caused by mechanical impacts during manufacturing and handling and from harsh conditions during shipping, warehousing, or operation.
As a result, the RFID chip delivers consistent performance from production through to final use, even on challenging-to-label containers.
Schreiner ProTech offers customization of the label design to fit specific applications and manufacturing setups.
The Robust RFID-Labels incorporate protective elements that systematically absorb mechanical stress. These thin, flexible structures are adaptable to all RFID technologies and antenna geometries, making them suitable for various uses.
“Equipping high-value components and products with RFID labels optimizes processes, enhancing internal organization efficiencies and overall supply chain security,” said Katharina Totev, Product Manager for RFID at Schreiner ProTech.
“Robust features that protect RFID labels throughout a product’s lifespan are essential tools for achieving these objectives.”
Nilpeter unveils new FB-Line for enhanced printing precision
In a parallel development, Nilpeter has launched a new addition to its FB-Line, available in 14-inch and 17-inch models, designed to meet the growing demands for automation and digitalization in the printing industry.
The new FB-Line is engineered with a focus on precision, efficiency, and user-friendliness. It is equipped with the advanced Nilpeter PowerLink control system, ensuring accuracy and control, along with a new dual servo print head for high precision across all printing tasks.
The FB-Line also features an automatic register and a genuine pre-register system, enhancing control and operational efficiency.
Alan Barretto, Managing Director of Nilpeter India, says, “Automation and digitalization are at the forefront of this initiative.
“The new FB-Line embodies our commitment to these principles, offering customers the best in technology and quality, while also considering cost efficiency.”
The new FB-Line is compatible with FB-350/-430 tooling through an adaptation kit, providing greater flexibility by allowing customers to reuse tools from their existing presses.
This new press, first previewed at Labelexpo Europe 2023 with the updated FA-Line, continues Nilpeter’s vision of combining automation with advanced digitalization, thereby improving efficiency and precision in printing.
Peter Eriksen, Chief Operating Officer at Nilpeter, emphasized the strategic importance of the new FB-Line, “We know that the market has been seeking a product positioned between our popular FB-Classic workhorse and our highly advanced FA-Line.
“The new FB-Line offers a high level of automation and operator-friendliness at an investment level accessible to a broader segment.”
Positive customer feedback has already been received, with several presses sold even before the official launch.
The capabilities of the new flexo press will be demonstrated live at Labelexpo Americas in September, with additional live demonstrations at various Nilpeter Technology Centers worldwide.
