Sigma Labels installs Epson SurePress L-6534VW, boosting digital label printing capacity in UAE

UAE-based Sigma Labels has strengthened its digital printing capabilities with the installation of the Epson SurePress L-6534VW in October 2025, a move expected to elevate production speed, print quality, and versatility significantly.

The installation was supplied and is being supported by Flex-Europa, Epson’s regional partner.

The high-performance UV inkjet press positions Sigma among the leading adopters of next-generation digital label printing in the region.

Designed for demanding, high-throughput environments, the SurePress L-6534VW offers sharp, vibrant output across a wide range of substrates, including clear, metallic, textured, and colored materials.

Its ability to consistently deliver high-resolution labels makes it suitable for industries such as food, beverage, cosmetics, personal care, and industrial products.

A key advantage of the new press is its full-color variable data printing capability, enabling Sigma to meet growing market demand for personalized packaging, serialization, and short-run promotional labels.

The machine also features high-opacity white ink and durable UV-curable inks compliant with food-contact and marine-environment standards, assuring brands of reliable, long-lasting label performance.

For Sigma Labels, the investment marks a strategic step toward enhancing production efficiency and maintaining high levels of consistency across both large-volume and specialty label jobs.

With reduced setup times and faster turnaround cycles, the new press allows the company to expand its service offering while supporting tighter deadlines for customers.

Flex-Europa, which supplied and installed the system, noted that the move underscores Sigma’s ongoing commitment to adopting advanced printing technologies.

The company continues to deepen its footprint in the region’s digital print market by enabling converters to upgrade and optimize their operations.

Looking ahead, Flex-Europa has confirmed a pipeline of additional SurePress installations across the Gulf region.

These include the deployment of the SurePress L-6534VW in Kuwait scheduled for March 2026, a SurePress L-4733AW installation in Kuwait during the same month, and another L-6534VW to be installed in the UAE in April 2026.

With this latest acquisition, Sigma Labels is positioning itself for stronger competitiveness and future growth, supporting evolving customer demands while contributing to the broader digital transformation of the GCC’s label printing industry.
