HUNGARY – Tolle, Hungary’s second-largest milk brand, has chosen Elopak’s Pure-Pak® cartons to relaunch its fresh milk products nationwide.
Owned by Tolnatej PLC, Tolle is a prominent name in the Hungarian dairy industry. It processes 20% of the country’s milk and produces over 260 million litres annually.
The company aims to boost this volume to over 300 million litres through investments in production efficiency, including a recent expansion with a new 1,100 square meter fresh milk production hall in Szekszárd, southern Hungary.
As part of this initiative, Tolnatej, in collaboration with Elopak, has installed two new Shikoku SPS70UC carton filling machines.
Starting May 2024, all Tolle-branded fresh and flavoured milk will be packaged in 1-liter and 500 ml Pure-Pak® cartons, which will be distributed through the cool chain with a shelf life of 33 days.
Tolnatej CEO, Mr. Attila Koller, praised the partnership, noting, “The new collaboration began in 2023 and has been marked by excellent teamwork with Elopak’s market unit in Hungary. The two filling lines now achieve 95% efficiency, minimizing downtime, waste, and system costs.”
