WAFA Group partners with Toscotec for tissue line installation in Algeria

ALGERIA – WAFA Group, a leading tissue producer in Algeria, has partnered with Toscotec to install a turnkey AHEAD tissue line (PM1) at its Ain Oussara facility, located south of Algiers.

The project, scheduled for completion in 2026, marks a significant step in WAFA Group’s growth strategy. 

The AHEAD tissue machine features a sheet trim width of 2,850 mm and an annual production capacity exceeding 40,000 tonnes.

Engineered for exceptional drying efficiency with minimal energy consumption, the machine is equipped with Toscotec’s latest-generation press system, a third-generation TT SYD Steel Yankee Dryer with patented heads insulation, and a high-efficiency TT Hood.

It will process 100% pre-dried virgin pulp and converting broke, ensuring premium quality output. 

The turnkey project scope includes a complete stock preparation system and Toscotec’s patented Short Approach Flow system (TT SAF®) for enhanced operational efficiency, fibre recovery, and water clarification.

It also includes a comprehensive tissue line with electrification, controls via the TT Brain DCS system, and dust and mist removal systems.

Additionally, Toscotec will supply the rewinder section and provide full-service support, including erection supervision, training, commissioning, and start-up assistance.
