EGYPT – DP World has launched its first integrated logistics distribution hub in Egypt’s Sokhna Logistics Park, with three warehousing agreements signed for KTDA DMCC, Premium-Line Middle East & Africa, and Middle East Logistics Services, as the 300,000-square-metre facility supports packaging, labeling and repackaging services for regional trade.
The park, located within the Suez Canal Economic Zone, is Egypt’s first fully integrated, automated logistics distribution center with DP World investing $80 million in its development.
The facility combines bonded warehousing, domestic logistics and container yard operations in a single location, offering warehousing, inventory management, order fulfillment, customs facilitation, transportation coordination, and value-added services including consolidation, packaging, repackaging, labeling and product customization.
The park is strategically positioned 15 minutes from Sokhna Port, 30 minutes from Suez and 45 minutes from the New Administrative Capital.
Three Warehousing Agreements Strengthen Regional Trade and Supply Chains
KTDA DMCC, the commercial arm of Kenya Tea Development Company, secured 2,000 square metres of space to serve as a regional inventory hub, handling 1,000 TEUs annually for distribution to Middle East, European and Asian markets.
Middle East Logistics Services was allocated 5,300 square metres for a temperature-controlled facility to support operations across eight markets including Saudi Arabia, the Levant and the Horn of Africa.
Premium-Line Middle East & Africa received 1,000 square metres within customs warehouses to increase distribution and re-export capabilities across Egypt, North Africa and GCC countries, with the company specializing in network infrastructure solutions and fiber optic cabling.
The agreements aim to enhance storage, handling, redistribution and re-export capabilities while supporting regional and international supply chains.
DP World’s US$1.4 Billion Egypt Investment and Cold Chain Expansion
DP World has invested over US$1.4 billion to develop integrated logistics infrastructure in Egypt, modernizing Ain Sokhna Port and expanding the Sokhna Logistics Park.
The company is also constructing a new cold storage facility in 6th of October City with a US$29 million investment, designed to strengthen Egypt’s cold chain capacity and support rising demand for energy-efficient temperature-controlled storage.
Egypt’s transit trade volume surged by 35 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2026, reflecting the growing importance of the country’s logistics sector amid regional trade disruptions.
DP World plans to further expand its investments in Egypt’s manufacturing sector, particularly in the SCZone, leveraging the country’s unique location and untapped industrial potential.
