KENYA – Coca-Cola has unveiled a new identity for its sourced water brand, Keringet, as part of strategic plans to capture a larger share of Kenya’s premium mineral water market.

“We are thrilled to reintroduce Keringet to our consumers with a fresh appearance, an expanded product range, and a meaningful ‘Own Your Richness’ campaign,” said Caleb Ajidadun, Commercial Execution Senior Director of The Coca-Cola Company.

“Keringet has always been committed to providing the purest and most refreshing water. Now, we invite everyone to embrace the richness of life – from staying hydrated to making sustainable choices and cherishing life’s moments.”

Keringet’s iconic blue bottle has undergone a modern transformation to better highlight the brand’s renewed commitment to championing African success stories through the new campaign ‘Own Your Richness’.

During the launch event, Isabelle Kariuki-Rostom, The Coca-Cola Company Marketing Director of East and Central Africa, emphasized that the ‘Own Your Richness’ campaign represents an exciting new chapter for Coca-Cola’s premium water brand.

“Through this campaign, we invite our customers to discover richness in every aspect of life. Whether it’s staying hydrated to feel your best, cherishing moments with loved ones, or making sustainable choices, Keringet encourages consumers to embrace a more prosperous and fulfilling life,” Isabelle added.

Keringet, renowned for its natural spring water sourced from the Molo highlands in the Great Rift Valley, has been a top choice for consumers for decades.

The newly unveiled Keringet water bottle is thoughtfully designed to withstand all of life’s adventures and daily outings, making it the perfect companion for every occasion.

In another development, Highland Drinks has removed plastic bottle cap sleeves from its water and cordial packaging in order to reduce plastic waste.

The move, as described by Joachim Westerveld, CEO of Highland Drinks, propels the company’s recycling efforts and helps reduce the impact of its packaging on the environment.

In addition to removing unnecessary packaging from the bottle, this change also enhances the recyclability of the material.

“Plastic has to be made sustainable, and that’s why we, as Highlands, have been at the forefront of recycling,” highlights the CEO.

The company stated that the new sleeveless caps provide the same level of security as the ones wrapped with plastic sheets.
