Chandpur Enterprises boosts production with Toscotec MG Dryers 

INDIA – Chandpur Enterprises has significantly enhanced its production capabilities by installing two advanced TT SYD MG Steel Yankee Dryers from Toscotec.

The upgrade at the company’s facility in Chandpur, Uttar Pradesh, involved replacing locally manufactured steel Yankee cylinders on PM1 and PM2, which now produce machine-glazed (MG) paper with basis weights ranging from 35 to 70 gsm. 

The rebuild of PM1 and PM2 delivered two key outcomes: a substantial boost in production and thermal energy efficiency and notable improvements in paper quality.

A major highlight was the enhancement of the cross-direction (CD) moisture profile, leading to more uniform and high-quality paper. 

The TT SYD MG dryers, designed to handle steam pressures of up to 10 barg, have diameters of 14 feet and 16 feet for PM1 and PM2, respectively.

Both machines feature Voith’s Terradry metallization, which optimizes performance for MG paper applications. 

Toscotec’s TT SYD MG dryers leverage more than 25 years of expertise in Steel Yankee Dryer design and manufacturing.

This extensive experience ensures reliability and superior paper smoothness. The new dryers have significantly boosted production output and performance by increasing drying capacity.
