Packaging redesign reinforces iconic brand assets while introducing updated visual cues for Coca-Cola Zero Sugar.

GLOBAL – The Coca-Cola Company has introduced a refreshed global visual identity designed to create a more consistent brand experience across packaging, marketing and retail environments as the beverage giant strengthens recognition across international markets.
The updated identity is being rolled out across Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, with the company seeking to ensure consumers encounter a unified Coca-Cola brand regardless of where they shop or interact with its products.
Rather than introducing a complete redesign, the refresh builds on Coca-Cola’s most recognizable visual elements, placing greater emphasis on the brand’s signature red-and-white colour palette, the Dynamic Ribbon, Arden Square and the iconic Spencerian script logo.
The updated branding will appear across product packaging, retail displays, vending equipment, point-of-sale materials and digital platforms.
“Coca-Cola is one of the most recognised brands in the world, and with that comes a responsibility to keep evolving,” said Arnab Roy, President of Coca-Cola Global Category.
“This refresh is about being clearer and more consistent in how we show up, wherever people experience our brand. By building on the things people already know and love, we’re creating a stronger foundation for growth while staying unmistakably Coca-Cola.”
A key element of the redesign is the evolution of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, whose packaging has been updated to more closely align with the flagship Coca-Cola brand while maintaining its own distinct identity.
The revised design features larger “Zero Sugar” typography, a more prominent black Dynamic Ribbon across cans and a black bottle cap on PET packaging, making the sugar-free variant easier for consumers to identify while reinforcing its connection to the master brand.
According to Rapha Abreu, Global Vice President of Design at The Coca-Cola Company, the initiative is intended to deliver a seamless brand experience across global markets.
“For over a century, Coca-Cola has been a global symbol of optimism and authenticity. Now, with one seamless visual identity, we can deliver one recognisable brand experience to consumers,” he said.
To support implementation, Coca-Cola has also launched a new digital Brand Center alongside technology-enabled Design Intelligence tools.
The platforms are intended to help internal design and marketing teams, as well as agency partners, maintain consistent application of the company’s visual identity across regions and consumer touchpoints.
The refresh reflects a broader trend in the global consumer goods industry, where multinational brands are simplifying packaging design and strengthening core visual assets to improve shelf recognition and create a unified brand presence across physical and digital channels.
Companies are increasingly investing in centralized design systems and digital asset management tools to ensure packaging consistency while accelerating product launches across multiple international markets.
As competition intensifies in the beverage sector, packaging remains a critical brand-building tool, with recognizable visual identities playing an increasingly important role in influencing consumer choice and reinforcing brand loyalty across diverse global markets.
