He will focus on strengthening operational excellence, scaling innovation.

UAE – Enviroserve, a leading regional provider of specialized e-waste recycling and resource recovery solutions, has appointed Mahmood Rasheed as its new Chief Executive Officer, signalling a renewed focus on scaling certified circularity, operational excellence and ESG-aligned growth across the Middle East.
Rasheed joins Enviroserve following a 30-year career at UAE-based integrated facilities and environmental services group Imdaad, where he most recently served as Group Chief Operating Officer.
His appointment comes at a pivotal time for Enviroserve as governments and industries across the region intensify efforts to strengthen e-waste regulation, data security and resource recovery under national sustainability strategies.
With a professional background rooted in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), Rasheed began his career at Dubai World in 1996, developing expertise in environmental governance and safety management.
He joined Imdaad in 2007 and played a central role in expanding the company’s portfolio across environmental solutions, recycling, facility management and specialized services.
As Group COO, he was instrumental in scaling the business to annual revenues of approximately AED 1 billion and supporting its expansion into additional GCC markets.
At Enviroserve, Rasheed will focus on strengthening operational performance, scaling innovation and reinforcing the company’s role as a trusted recycling partner to governments, manufacturers and technology companies.
A key priority will be close coordination with shareholders Tadweer Group and Dubal Holding to ensure growth strategies remain aligned with national sustainability objectives, global ESG frameworks and the UAE’s broader economic diversification agenda.
A central pillar of Rasheed’s leadership agenda will be the deployment of advanced automation and digital systems to enhance end-to-end traceability, transparency and compliance across Enviroserve’s operations.
By integrating real-time data tracking and automated controls, the company aims to strengthen audit readiness, improve regulatory compliance and reinforce client confidence in certified recycling and secure data destruction, critical requirements in the rapidly expanding e-waste sector.
“Sustainability must translate into measurable impact,” Rasheed said.
“By working closely with Tadweer Group and Dubal Holding, we will continue to move beyond conventional recycling models, building circular systems that recover value, protect the environment and support a resilient digital economy.”
Rasheed holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from the US and an MBA from the UK. He is a certified ISO 14001 Lead Auditor through Lloyd’s and a graduate of the Dubai Leadership Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Industry observers note that Rasheed’s appointment reflects a broader trend across the region, as circular economy operators seek experienced leaders capable of combining operational scale, regulatory compliance and digital innovation to meet rising environmental and governance expectations.
