Meteor Inkjet launches MetVision for enhanced performance
In other industry news, Meteor Inkjet has launched MetVision, a new software solution designed for machine-vision-aided nozzle status detection and correction, as well as streamlined printer configuration and calibration.
This software addresses critical issues related to misfiring nozzles in inkjet systems, which can lead to print quality problems, downtime, and product waste—particularly in industrial settings.
MetVision enables accurate nozzle detection and correction in real-time using mobile phone cameras or printer-mounted line-scan or area-scan cameras.
It works seamlessly with Meteor’s broader software suite, including MetPrint, MetScan, and MetIndustrial.
This innovation reduces printer setup time and improves overall print quality by managing issues like swath management, print calibration, and nozzle compensation.
Jonathan Wilson, Meteor’s VP of Business Development, emphasized the software’s role in enhancing print quality and simplifying maintenance, saying, “Our software innovations now extend beyond core print system operations to include real-time nozzle status detection and correction.”
Meteor will also discuss the software’s capabilities at the FuturePrint TECH event in Cambridge, UK, on November 6-7.
