SWITZERLAND – Neopac, a global provider of high-quality packaging and dosing applications for pharma, beauty, and oral care, has been awarded the Tube of the Year Award by the European Tube Manufacturers Association (ETMA) for the world’s smallest child-resistant tube.

Neopac’s 10mm Polyfoil® tube, equipped with a child-resistant closure, won the Prototype category, marking a breakthrough in compact and secure packaging.

Slated to become the smallest tube with a child-resistant closure, the 10mm Polyfoil® tube offers exemplary product safety and consumer convenience.

Expanding Neopac’s existing range of child-resistant tubes, the new offering has a 10mm diameter and capacities of 1-3ml.

These tubes are made of certified pharma-grade materials suitable for liquids and creams. Produced under ISO 8 cleanroom conditions in Europe and the United States, the Polyfoil® tube provides high-barrier protection for sensitive, toxic, or concentrated formulas.

It can be decorated via direct printing for compelling aesthetics, and its long nozzle applicator, available with or without a dropper insert, allows for precise dosing.

The ETMA’s annual competition showcases the European tube industry’s creativity, innovative strength, and performance.

A seven-member jury from ETMA’s member companies selected preferred tubes across several categories, including aluminum, plastic, laminate, prototypes, and sustainability. The award sets global standards for pioneering and sustainable packaging solutions.

Neopac also recently received the Tube Council’s prestigious Ted Klein Tube of the Year Award and a Gold Award in the pharmaceutical category for a novel tube housing the pain relief product Icy Hot®.

These awards, announced at the Council’s membership awards dinner in early May, recognize outstanding innovations in tube packaging design and technology.

The Polyfoil® tube used for Icy Hot® Pro No-Mess Pain Reliever is bold blue and has a matte lacquer finish.

Engineered for a “no mess” application, the tube’s easy-grip dispensing system ensures a clean, controlled application process, optimizes product consumption, and enhances user convenience.

The ergonomic design allows seamless integration into daily routines, making it highly adoptable and portable.

“We are incredibly honored to receive both the Ted Klein Tube of the Year Award and the Gold Award in the Pharmaceutical Category from the Tube Council,” said Keisha Broadway, Sales Director North America at Neopac.

“These accolades highlight our commitment to quality and excellence and are a testament to our team’s continuous efforts in advancing tube innovation.”

The Tube Council is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational resources, information, and networking opportunities to tube industry professionals.

Each year, the organization recognizes the industry’s best and most innovative squeeze tubes by market category. This year, 55 entries were submitted, and all were evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges.
