Polygreen launches “Again, Please”, UAE’s first large-scale reusable foodware system

End-to-end circular reuse solution debuts at WFES, supporting the UAE’s transition away from single-use plastics.

UAE — Polygreen, the global circular economy solutions provider, has officially launched “Again, Please”, the UAE’s first large-scale reusable foodware system designed to replace single-use plastics across events, venues, and foodservice operations.

The launch took place at the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, where reusable cups from the system are being deployed throughout the exhibition to demonstrate real-world application at scale.

The new initiative arrives as the UAE accelerates its transition toward a circular economy, following national legislation mandating the phase-out of single-use plastic products.

“Again, Please” is positioned as a practical, infrastructure-backed solution that enables organizations to comply with regulations, reduce waste and adopt more sustainable consumption models.

Athanasios Polychronopoulos, Chairman and Group CEO of Polygreen, highlighted the system’s alignment with the UAE’s policy direction.

“The UAE has taken decisive steps to address plastic waste through regulation and policy. ‘Again, Please’ demonstrates how policy, infrastructure, and proven reuse solutions can work together,” he said.

“By replacing single-use cups with a practical, scalable reuse model, we are helping business partners move from intention to direct impact.”

“Again, Please” uses a closed-loop, reverse logistics model built specifically for high-footfall environments such as events, exhibitions, entertainment venues and F&B operators.

Beyond reusable cups, the system offers customized reusable packaging formats supported by comprehensive infrastructure, including on-site collection points, logistics services, industrial washing, drying, and rapid redeployment, ensuring hygiene, efficiency, and user convenience.

A central component of the system is the Again, Please wash hub located within Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD).

The high-capacity industrial facility is the first of its kind in the UAE, enabling food-grade sanitation and fast turnaround times so packaging can re-enter circulation safely and reliably.

“Our goal with ‘Again, Please’ is to make reuse simple, accessible, and commercially viable,” said Theodossios Kassapantoniou, General Manager of Again, Please.

“By providing all the behind-the-scenes infrastructure, from washing and logistics to on-ground deployment, we empower venues and HoReCa operators to transition away from single-use foodware without disrupting operations or compromising customer experience.”

Before its WFES debut, the system was piloted at multiple major events in Abu Dhabi, achieving high return rates and strong consumer participation, in line with international best practices in reuse systems.

By replacing disposable products with reusable alternatives, the solution reduces landfill waste, lowers emissions linked to single-use production, and delivers measurable ESG outcomes for partners.

The launch of “Again, Please” at WFES underscores the growing importance of reusable foodware systems in supporting the UAE’s circular economy ambitions, waste reduction targets and public-private sustainability collaboration.
