The strong sales and engagement at Labelexpo reaffirm that the company’s technology empowers printers and converters to enhance efficiency and value.

SOUTH AFRICA— Rotocon has announced the sale of more than 30 machines during the four-day event in Barcelona, marking a major milestone in the company’s international growth strategy.
The South Africa-based manufacturer drew strong interest with a series of live demonstrations showcasing its advanced flexo printing and finishing technologies.
At the heart of Rotocon’s stand was the Chrome 450 flexo press, a centerpiece attraction that impressed visitors with its combination of high-quality print output, modular design, and automation capabilities.
Designed to meet the evolving needs of label printers, the Chrome 450 allows users to scale up with value-adding modules, integrating features such as embellishment options and performance upgrades through intuitive, one-touch controls.
Also featured was the Ecoline RSI 540, a fully servo-driven finishing machine engineered for slitting, inspection, and rewinding at speeds up to 300 metres per minute.
Its low-maintenance design and operator-friendly interface attracted converters seeking productivity and reliability.
The Chrome RDF 340 digital converting and finishing system added further excitement, demonstrating its flexibility in handling hot and cold foil, embossing, multilayer labels, and screen printing.
Its modular setup enables custom configurations to meet varied production needs, from short-run digital work to high-volume finishing.
Visitors also witnessed a collaboration between Rotocon and EyeC, where the Ecoline RSH 440 was used to showcase EyeC’s latest AI-powered ProofRunner Web HighLight inspection system.
The live demo underscored the synergy between Rotocon’s equipment and advanced inspection technologies.
Adding an international dimension, representatives from Rotocon USA, including Cooper Ludwig and Jeff Haddad, joined the stand, symbolizing the company’s commitment to expanding its global presence.
During a well-attended press conference, Michael Aengenvoort, Sachin Sukhlal, and Stuart Baylis of Polyflex Premedia led an in-depth session highlighting the Chrome RFP 450 flexo press and innovations in Expanded Colour Gamut (ECG) inks.
In a statement, Rotocon’s board expressed gratitude for the industry’s positive response, “Our goal has always been to deliver services that combine innovation, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
“The strong sales and engagement at Labelexpo reaffirm that our technology empowers printers and converters to enhance efficiency and value.”
With its record-breaking sales and growing international footprint, Rotocon’s debut at Labelexpo Europe 2025 solidifies its position as a rising global force in label printing and finishing innovation.
