AGP to supply Sprecher Brewing with locally made glass beer and beverage bottles

USA – Ardagh Glass Packaging – North America (AGP – North America), a business of Ardagh Group has signed a supply agreement with Sprecher Brewing Company to produce the latter’s glass beer and beverage bottles.

As per the terms of this agreement, AGP will continue to manufacture glass bottles for Sprecher Brewing’s entire range of beer and beverage products, including their recently redesigned custom 16oz glass bottle.

The brewing company’s team worked closely with the product design team at AGP – North America using Ardagh’s Vision4Glass methodology to update their custom glass bottle.

Ardagh updated and enlarged the embossed shoulder decoration of the family name on the bottle using a sculptured embossing process.

The collaboration between Ardagh’s glass production factory in Burlington, Wisconsin, and Milwaukee’s original craft brewery keeps the brewery’s commitment to sustainability and locality alive.

Sprecher’s craft sodas, which come in locally sourced glass bottles, use locally sourced ingredients, including pure raw wildflower honey, which is fire-brewed in small-batch kettles to deliver a bold flavor.

Sprecher Brewing Company president and CEO Sharad Chadha said: “In today’s world, people want an affordable indulgence – a special experience they can share with family and friends at parties and special events.

“Sprecher’s craft sodas deliver this in an attractive, custom 16oz glass bottle – a staple of our brand. The high-quality glass bottles provide premium shelf appeal and a vessel for locking in freshness to protect the taste and flavor of our products. Sprecher truly represents happiness in a bottle.”

Furthermore, the glass bottles can travel from the recycling bin to the retail shelf in 30 days since they are completely and endlessly recyclable.

They also deliver great shelf appeal and brand differentiation in a premium, sustainable container while preserving the genuine flavor of the drink, the glass packaging company said.

AGP – North America Beer and Beverage VP Rush Markan said: “Ardagh Glass Packaging is proud to partner with Sprecher Brewing Company to provide consumers with high-quality, American-made glass beer and beverage bottles while helping the brewery meet their brand and sustainability goals.”

This resembles the one AGP signed in September last year to supply Oregon winery with recycled-content bottles.

Under the collaboration, Ste Michelle Wine Estates will replace its traditional glass bottles with Ardagh’s ECO Series glass bottles.

Made of infinitely recyclable neutral and inert material, ECO Series glass is claimed to offer high quality and better customer appeal while improving environmental impact.
