USA – Leading packaging solutions provider Berry Global has introduced a new range of clarified polypropylene (PP) bottles designed for healthcare applications.

These bottles offer a more sustainable option with improved product protection and surpass traditional colored PET pill bottles in performance.

The new ClariPPil bottle is ideal for a variety of products, including vitamins, nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, beauty supplements, and over-the-counter (OTC) treatments.

Combined with Berry’s PP closures, these bottles have achieved RecyClass A certification for recyclability in regions with suitable recycling infrastructure.

“We believe our ClariPPil bottle provides an advanced packaging solution that will transform healthcare packaging,” said Jessica Rodriguez, Sustainability Project Manager at Berry Global.

“Besides its superior sustainability profile, the bottle offers excellent performance and quality.”

The ClariPPil bottles are available in green and light and dark amber, meeting the requirements of different product types.

Custom colors can also be produced on demand. Unlike similar colored PET packs, which pose recycling challenges, the colored ClariPPil bottles are widely recyclable in regions with appropriate recycling systems.

Berry’s new manufacturing technology for the ClariPPil bottles also significantly reduces environmental impact.

The production process cuts carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions by approximately 71% compared to traditional injection stretch blow molding of PET bottles.

Alongside these sustainability gains, the bottles provide up to 84% improved moisture ingress protection over PET, ensuring extended product integrity.

The ClariPPil bottle is available in 100, 120, and 150 cc sizes. It features a universal 38 mm neck compatible with a range of standard closures, including child-resistant Options. The bottles also offer a wide decoration area for customizable branding.

“ClariPPil bottles meet the demand for sustainable packaging without compromising functionality, aesthetics, or barrier performance,” said Ryan Maszton, Director of Sales at Berry Global.

“With our high-capacity production facilities, we can quickly supply companies, helping them bring products to market faster and seize opportunities in growing sectors like vitamins, minerals, and supplements.”

Berry’s innovative solution underscores its commitment to delivering environmentally friendly and high-performance packaging options for the healthcare industry.

Last month, the company introduced its new Chameleon bottle, offering fast customization options with low minimum order quantities (MOQs) across personal care, home care, and healthcare markets.

The Chameleon bottle, developed by Berry Agile Solutions, features a base section with a unique texture finish. It is available in ten standard versions and additional bespoke options for customers seeking personalized packaging.

Berry Global has implemented a quick-change tooling process, enabling the creation of custom designs efficiently.
