This expansion reflects our unwavering commitment to scalable growth.

INDIA – Jani Sales Pvt. Ltd. has completed the installation of the sole plate for its Tissue Machine 3 (PM3), marking a critical civil and mechanical milestone as the company progresses toward commissioning the next phase of its tissue manufacturing expansion.
The installation of the sole plate represents a foundational step in the PM3 project, providing the structural base upon which the tissue machine will be erected and aligned.
According to the company, the development keeps the expansion program on track and signals a transition from groundwork to advanced installation activities.
Once PM3 is fully commissioned, Jani Sales’ combined tissue production capacity across its three machines is expected to reach approximately 82,000 tonnes per annum.
The expanded footprint is set to strengthen the company’s position as a forward-integrated tissue manufacturer, supporting consistent supply to converters and brand owners across the hygiene and away-from-home tissue segments.
Jani Sales says the investment reflects its long-term strategy focused on scalable growth, operational reliability and product consistency, as demand for tissue products continues to rise across India and neighbouring markets.
Population growth, improving hygiene awareness, urbanization and increased penetration of organized retail are among the factors driving sustained growth in the regional tissue sector.
“Sustainability and technology remain at the core of everything we do,” the company noted, highlighting efficient resource utilization, energy-conscious processes and the integration of modern machinery and smart automation as central pillars of the PM3 project.
These elements are increasingly critical as tissue producers face rising input costs, tightening environmental expectations and pressure to improve overall equipment efficiency.
The company also acknowledged the role of its employees, project teams, suppliers, partners and customers in reaching the milestone, underscoring the collaborative nature of large-scale capital projects in the paper and tissue industry.
Jani Sales’ expansion comes amid a broader wave of investment across India’s tissue and paper manufacturing landscape.
Several producers are upgrading existing lines or adding new capacity to improve energy efficiency, reduce water consumption and enhance product quality, particularly in premium and value-added tissue grades.
Equipment suppliers have also reported increased demand for automation, digital monitoring and predictive maintenance solutions to support higher uptime and lower operating costs.
Globally, tissue manufacturers are balancing capacity growth with sustainability commitments, including reduced fibre intensity, higher recycled content where appropriate, and lower carbon footprints.
In Asia-Pacific, India is increasingly seen as a key growth market, attracting investment as consumption patterns shift toward higher hygiene standards in both consumer and institutional settings.
With the successful installation of the PM3 sole plate, Jani Sales moves one step closer to operationalizing its expanded tissue platform.
The company says the project will enhance its ability to serve customers reliably while maintaining a strong focus on efficiency, quality and responsible manufacturing, factors that are becoming decisive in a competitive and fast-evolving tissue market.
