Label Lab expands capabilities with GM finishing gear at Labelexpo Europe

Label Lab is now the first company in Jordan to offer advanced label finishing with digital varnish technology.

JORDAN – Label Lab, a Jordan-based converter owned by Ahmad Alramahi, has announced an investment in advanced finishing technology from Grafisk Maskinfabrik (GM) during Labelexpo Europe 2025.

The deal, finalized at the exhibition, marks one of the most significant finishing equipment investments in the Middle East label industry to date.

The package includes an LC350 laser die-cutter, a DVM digital varnish module, and a CC120 core cutter, giving Label Lab the capability to deliver luxury-grade labels with speed, precision, and high-end embellishment.

According to GM, the combination will allow the Jordanian company to tap into the region’s fast-growing premium packaging market, particularly for cosmetics, beauty, and specialty food and beverage brands.

“Relations matter,” said Maher Dakkouri, CEO of Sixth Dimensions, GM’s regional distributor. “Meeting the GM team at Labelexpo was key, the show creates the space where trust and technology come together.”

He noted that Label Lab’s adoption of digital varnish technology positions it as one of the first converters in Jordan to offer advanced finishing for luxury labels.

The deal also underscores GM’s global strategy of supporting converters through tailored solutions and direct partnerships.

“We are seeing rising demand for premium label production across the Middle East, and investments like this demonstrate how converters are preparing for that growth,” said Uffe Nielsen, CEO of GM.

Equipped with digital varnish and foil modules, the system will enable Creative Printing to enter the high-value embellishment segment for personal care, beauty, and luxury products.

“This agreement is more than just a sale, it’s the beginning of a transformative journey,” said Dakkouri, who facilitated both deals.

He highlighted the importance of these investments for raising Jordan’s profile in the regional label industry.

The signing ceremony was attended by Creative Press executives Mohammad Farhan and Saif Farha, alongside representatives from Sixth Dimension and GM leadership.

Traditionally, Jordan’s printing sector has catered to FMCG and publishing markets. However, the adoption of high-end finishing technologies signals a shift toward premium packaging solutions, aligning the country with broader Middle Eastern trends where luxury goods and export-oriented industries are driving demand for innovative label solutions.

With Label Lab and Creative Printing Press taking the lead, industry observers say Jordan is poised to emerge as a competitive player in the regional luxury label and packaging segment.
