Lecta unveils Adestor Clear on Clear to elevate premium label design

SPAIN – Lecta Self-Adhesives has unveiled Adestor Clear on Clear, a new addition to its film material portfolio designed to meet growing demand for ultra-transparent, high-impact labels.

The latest innovation combines advanced materials with high-performance adhesive technology to deliver a label that offers the visual appeal of direct-to-pack printing, while maintaining the convenience and efficiency of self-adhesive application.

The Adestor Clear on Clear label construction features a polypropylene (PP) facestock, a newly developed A292F water-based acrylic adhesive, and a PET liner, all selected to maximize clarity, reliability, and functionality.

This combination is tailored for use on transparent packaging in industries such as cosmetics and food and beverages, where visual aesthetics heavily influence purchasing decisions.

“The label gives the impression of seamless printing directly onto the product,” Lecta noted, “helping brands stand out with a premium look, while still offering the flexibility of standard self-adhesive processes.”

At the heart of this product is the A292F adhesive, offering outstanding transparency and strong adhesion across a wide range of substrates including glass, HDPE, PET, and PP.

The PP facestock is top-coated to support excellent print quality with all commonly used printing technologies.

Meanwhile, the PET liner provides strong mechanical properties, allowing smooth and consistent performance on high-speed labeling lines, even in challenging industrial settings.

As the competition on retail shelves intensifies, brand owners are looking for label solutions that not only meet technical requirements but also enhance shelf appeal.

Transparent labels on clear packaging are increasingly used to reflect purity, innovation, and modern branding, especially in premium cosmetics, beverages, and personal care products.

The launch of Adestor Clear on Clear follows Lecta’s earlier introduction of Adestor Gloss GP PFAS-free, a food-safe, grease-resistant label made without per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

That label, made with FSC® C011032-certified paper, is tailored for products like cheeses, cured meats, oils, and ready meals, offering both sustainability and safety.

All Adestor products are developed under rigorous standards, including ISO 14001 (environment), ISO 50001 (energy), ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 45001 (health and safety), and EMAS certification, reflecting Lecta’s continued commitment to sustainability, compliance, and innovation.
