Lecta unveils high grease-resistant labelling solution

SPAIN – Lecta Self-Adhesives, a leader in the development of self-adhesive materials, has announced the expansion of its self-adhesive materials portfolio with the introduction of ‘Adestor Gloss GP PFAS-free’, a new label solution tailored for the food packaging industry.

The new labeling solution is specifically designed to deliver reliable functionality and ensure safety in food packaging applications.

This solution’s design not only meets stringent environmental and health regulations but also offers a grease-resistant label that does not contain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

Adestor Gloss GP PFAS-free is made with Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) C011032-certified paper, ensuring high performance and resistance to oils and grease.

This label solution is ideal for a range of food products, including cured meats, cheeses, ready meals, and oils.

“At Lecta Self‑Adhesives, we are fully committed to developing solutions that address today’s technical challenges while contributing to environmental protection,” said Roger Puente Vila‑Masana, business development and product manager director at Lecta Self‑Adhesives.

“With Adestor Gloss GP PFAS‑free, we are taking a decisive step toward safer, more responsible labelling that meets market expectations.”

The Adestor range is produced in compliance with global standards, including ISO 14001 for environmental management, ISO 50001 for energy efficiency, ISO 9001 for quality assurance, and ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety.

This launch builds on Lecta Self-Adhesives’ earlier introduction of the Adestor Beverage & Delicatessen range, which features distinctive materials that enable designers, label producers, and brands to communicate messages directly through product labels in sectors such as wine, craft beer, olive oil, and gourmet foods.

In March this year, Lecta introduced eco-friendly barrier paper for sustainable packaging.

The new eco-friendly barrier paper was designed to meet the growing demand for sustainable and recyclable packaging alternatives.

Tailored for converters and printers, the new eco-friendly barrier paper is engineered to provide effective barrier properties while maintaining flexibility and durability, making it ideal for applications such as bags, pouches, and wrapping in the food and industrial packaging sectors.
