Sandon Global strengthens Asian market commitment at Flexo Summit Asia 2025

The FTA is expected to streamline trade procedures, cut tariffs, and enhance the flow of printing.

ASIA – UK-based anilox manufacturer Sandon Global has reaffirmed its commitment to the Indian and broader Asian flexographic printing industry by joining Flexo Summit Asia 2025 as a Bronze Partner.

The move underscores the company’s strategic focus on expanding its footprint across Asia’s fast-growing packaging markets.

Currently working with nearly one-third of India’s flexible packaging manufacturers, Sandon Global expects its regional operations to gain further momentum following the UK-India Free Trade Agreement (FTA), anticipated to take effect in 2026.

The FTA is expected to streamline trade procedures, cut tariffs, and enhance the flow of printing and packaging technologies between the two nations.

“We’re committed to helping flexo printers across Asia achieve greater consistency, efficiency, and profitability,” said Tinku Sharma, Regional Sales Manager for India at Sandon Global.

“This summit is a great platform to connect with industry professionals from across India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, the UAE, and Southeast Asia.”

The Flexo Summit’s 2025 theme, “Possibilities, Profits and People,” emphasizes collaboration and innovation as key growth drivers, values that align closely with Sandon Global’s regional strategy.

During the event, the company will highlight its XPRO, High Volume Process, Fluid FP, and GMX Anilox engraving technologies.

These innovations are designed to enhance print quality, reduce downtime, and deliver consistent performance across various substrates and print conditions.

Sharma added that the company’s success is rooted in precision engineering and advanced materials science, supported by rigorous testing in its metallurgical laboratories.

“From our unique sleeve and end-ring construction to robust coating quality control, our anilox technologies ensure precise cell formation and optimal ink release, critical to achieving superior print density and consistency,” he noted.

Sandon Global’s expansion mirrors broader regional trends, with other industry leaders ramping up their presence in Asia.

Flint Group, for instance, recently unveiled its Flexographic Innovation Centr in Bangkok to support sustainable ink and plate development, while XSYS has expanded its flexo plate production in India to meet rising local demand.

Similarly, Miraclon continues to invest in training and technical support for flexo converters across Southeast Asia.

With these combined advancements, Asia’s flexographic sector is increasingly emerging as a hub for technology-driven, sustainable print solutions, positioning regional converters to compete at global standards.
