Sprintpackage’s new Guangzhou Plant increases paper tube output to 300,000 daily units

The facility has six automated lines, tube winding, slitting, paper mounting, curling, and assembly, with automation covering over 80% of operations.

CHINA – Guangzhou Shangpin Packaging Products (Sprintpackage) has relocated its manufacturing operations to a 20,000m² site in Guangzhou’s Baiyun District, increasing annual output to between two and three times its previous level with six automated lines and daily production of 200,000 to 300,000 units.

The facility houses six automated lines covering tube winding, slitting, paper mounting, curling and assembly, with automation accounting for more than 80 percent of operations.

The company, which has served more than 10,000 clients since 2014, supplies customised paper tubes to over 500 international sushi chains and expects to ship between 10 million and 15 million sushi tubes annually.

The plant also manufactures heavy-duty cardboard cylinder tubes and specialised cosmetic paper lip balm tubes, serving buyers primarily in Europe and the Middle East across food, cosmetics and health supplement packaging applications.

Sushi Tubes Meet EU Food-Contact Standards

The sushi tube products are certified under the EU’s EC1935/2004 food-contact requirements and the GFSI-recognised BRC Global Standard for Packaging.

The facility also fully complies with the European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) requirements concerning packaging waste management.

Equipment installed ahead of the opening included automated winding machines, paper mounting systems, rotary curling equipment and high-speed assembly machinery.

All food-grade paper tube production occurs inside a dedicated dust-free workshop, and the facility has obtained comprehensive certifications including FSC, BSCI, EC1935/2004, SGS and FDA.

The company’s materials are FDA-certified, with production facilities and packaging holding European BRC and EC1935/2004 food-grade certifications.

Founder’s Manufacturing Philosophy and Global Reach

Sprintpackage founder and general manager Jack Wu stated that the company produces mid-to-high-end quality at mid-to-low prices, puts people first to build a strong internal team, treats clients with absolute sincerity to foster long-term partnerships, and manufactures every single paper tube with complete honesty and trustworthiness.

Since 2014, these operating principles have helped the company secure and maintain active relationships with more than 10,000 clients.

In late 2025, Sprintpackage became one of the first manufacturers worldwide to independently develop molds for dedicated sushi paper tubes, pioneering category-specific applications and establishing a trend toward vertically segmented tube packaging across the industry.

The company bases its operations on a single philosophy: empowering brand value through green packaging.
