SPAIN – Leche Celta, a leading Spanish dairy company known for its high-quality liquid milk and dairy products, has become the first in Spain to use SIG MidiFit 1L aseptic cartons for its UHT dairy products.
This new packaging solution is part of Leche Celta’s launch of four new dairy and lactose-free ‘Pastoreo’ products in 1L SIG MidiFit carton packs.
The SIG MidiFit family pack, with its distinctive shape and design, captures consumers’ attention and stands out on supermarket shelves.
It emphasizes the premium qualities of the ‘Pastoreo’ milk, sourced from grass-fed cows. It is the first in Spain to feature the double AENOR label, which highlights important animal welfare practices.
This innovation follows Leche Celta’s previous milestone: last year, it was the first in Spain to use SIG Terra Alu-free packaging material in SIG MidiBloc carton packs.
Leche Celta installed a state-of-the-art SIG Midi 12 Aseptic filling machine to support this latest advancement.
This machine allows for flexible filling of private label and own brand products in SIG MidiBloc carton packs of 500ml and 1L sizes and the SIG MidiFit carton pack.
The ability to run two carton formats on a single filling line enables Leche Celta to quickly adapt to changing market demands, optimize production capacity, and choose between SIG Terra Alu-free or standard packaging materials.

Similarly, SIG recently equipped Hamdard Laboratories India (Food Division) with cutting-edge aseptic carton packaging and filling solutions.
Hamdard chose the SIG XSlim 24 Aseptic filling machine for its Aurangabad (Maharashtra) manufacturing plant.
This advanced machine can fill 24,000 SIG XSlimBloc carton packs per hour and offers the flexibility to fill nine different volume sizes, ranging from 80ml to 200ml, on the same filling line.
The changeover time between pack sizes is less than 15 minutes, enabling Hamdard to adapt to consumer demands quickly.
