Amtech’s platforms, EnCore, Label Traxx, and Axiom, are purpose-built for packaging converters, not adapted from general manufacturing software.

INDIA – Amtech Software, backed by Vista Equity Partners, has opened a Bengaluru innovation hub to accelerate AI, cloud, and integrated technology development for packaging manufacturers worldwide.
The Bengaluru hub will support Engineering, Product, Customer Operations, Revenue Operations, and other corporate functions as Amtech expands its global footprint.
The company currently serves more than 1,250 manufacturing plants globally and views India as a strategic centre for long-term product ownership and innovation.
Employees in Bengaluru will focus on cloud-ready and API-driven architecture, AI-augmented product capabilities, advanced manufacturing analytics, and MES and CRM technologies supporting corrugated packaging, folding carton, flexible packaging, and label manufacturing customers across North America, Europe, and Latin America.
Software as a Strategic Asset for Packaging Converters
Packaging manufacturers operate in a margin-sensitive environment where production scheduling, material traceability, and equipment utilisation directly affect profitability.
An ERP system that cannot track roll stock inventory by grade and remaining footage leaves money on the table.
A CRM that does not integrate with the estimating module forces sales reps to re-enter customer data, creating delays and error risk.
Amtech’s platforms, EnCore, Label Traxx, and Axiom, are purpose-built for packaging converters, not adapted from general manufacturing software.
The Bengaluru hub will develop cloud-ready architectures that allow smaller converters to access enterprise-grade systems without on-premise servers.
AI-Augmented Manufacturing
The hub will focus on AI-augmented product capabilities, including predictive maintenance alerts based on machine vibration data, automated quality defect detection using camera inputs, and production scheduling algorithms that optimise for both machine utilisation and delivery dates.
For a corrugated plant running multiple die-cutters and flexo folder gluers, an AI scheduler that reduces changeover time by 5 percent adds thousands of hours of productive capacity annually.
The Bengaluru team’s work will be deployed across Amtech’s 1,250 customer plants, meaning code written in India will directly affect box plants in Ohio, label converters in Germany, and flexible packaging manufacturers in Brazil.
Scaling for Global Ownership
Amtech said it plans significant hiring growth over the next year as it scales the Bengaluru operation into a multi-functional global centre.
The company expects the India team to take on increasing ownership of global initiatives tied to its EnCore, Label Traxx, and Axiom platforms over the next two to three years.
For Vista Equity Partners, which acquired Amtech in 2019, the hub represents a bet on India’s engineering talent pool as a competitive advantage in packaging software.
