SWEDEN – British paper and packaging company Mondi has broadened its spectrum of saturating kraft paper and bolstered its capacity.
This move aims to enhance service provisions for manufacturers specializing in internal and external building panels, worktops, furniture, and technical films.
Through its earlier investment in a new paper machine at the Štĕtí plant in the Czech Republic, coupled with heightened production efficiency, Mondi is poised to optimize capacity throughout its mill network.
This strategic approach will notably amplify the production of its saturating kraft, known as Advantage MF Boost, at both Mondi Frantschach in Austria and Mondi Dynäs in Sweden.
Positioned strategically, these mills guarantee swift delivery across Europe, ensuring customers benefit from reliable service and robust production support.
This initiative underscores Mondi’s commitment to augment the availability of Advantage MF Boost—a pivotal kraft paper utilized in laminated applications.
Mondi has further enhanced the efficiency of its paper machines dedicated to producing saturating kraft paper.
These enhancements encompass improved formation, superior drying properties, and expedited production.
Continuous Research and Development endeavors have broadened the range of this quality paper, offering variations in grammage to precisely match individual customer requirements.
The Advantage MF Boost by Mondi stands out as an exemplary choice for laminates owing to its porous characteristics.
Crafted from responsibly sourced fresh fibers in Sweden and Austria, this unbleached natural brown kraft paper is obtainable with FSC® 1 or PEFC certification.
Its long fiber pulp endows it with high absorbency, making it an ideal substrate for resin absorption, crucial in the lamination process.
Roman Senecky, COO Kraft Paper at Mondi, emphasized the company’s dedication to boosting Advantage MF Boost production.
He highlighted its relevance across decorative and compact laminates, as well as industrial and technical films for plywood.
Leveraging existing infrastructure, Mondi is poised to offer this indispensable porous kraft paper on a global scale, ensuring a dependable supply for both existing and prospective clientele.
Last month, Mondi announced plans to replace Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) with recyclable and compostable corrugated packaging solutions for white goods (household appliances) and electronic equipment.
Mondi proudly touts a 100% recyclability and compostability rate, underscoring its commitment to sustainability. Their range of corrugated solutions includes boxes crafted from a minimum of 60% recycled fibers.
The company emphasizes the power of collaboration with manufacturers, asserting that joint efforts drive innovation and enable optimization and automation of packaging processes.
