INDIA – Swiss packaging solutions provider, SIG, has supplied advanced filling technology to Milky Mist Dairy Food, a dairy product manufacturer based in South India, in order to meet the diverse demands of consumers.
The Swiss firm has supplied three high-speed SIG filling machines, including the SIG SmileSmall 24 Aseptic, the SIG Midi 12 Aseptic, and the SIG XSlim 12 Aseptic, for aseptic carton packs.
The dairy product company will install the machines at its production facility near Erode, Tamil Nadu to increase its production capacity, expand its product line, and provide innovative packaging options.
The company will be able to provide items in a variety of quantities and packaging types to accommodate different usage scenarios and price ranges.
With the speed and versatility that each of these filling machines will provide, Milky Mist customers will be able to enjoy a wide range of packaging shapes, volumes, and designs for its goods, SIG said.
SIG India & Bangladesh Markets Head, Vandana Tandan, said, “We are looking forward to this promising partnership that will provide an excellent opportunity for both of us to expand our reach in India.”
Milky Mist can fill 12,000 SIG MidiBlocacks in three different volume sizes, including 500, 750, and 1,000 ml per hour, using the SIG Midi 12 Aseptic filling equipment.
The dairy firm will introduce dairy products in SIG XSlimBloc carton packs in nine different volumes, ranging from 80ml to 200ml, using the SIG XSlim 12 Aseptic filling machine.
These volume changes can be completed in less than 15 minutes, according to the Swiss packaging solutions provider.
The premium product market is primarily served by the SIG SmileSmall 24 Aseptic filling machine, capable of filling 24,000 carton packs per hour with volumes ranging from 180 to 250ml.
Additionally, the business plans to use SIG filling machines to pack items with higher viscosities, such as dairy creams.
SIG carton packs are supplied as flat-packed sleeves with the long side already hygienically sealed, in contrast to other solutions available on the market.
Milky Mist’s founder and managing director, Sathish Kumar T, added, “The partnership with SIG aligns well with our core values of delivering safe and high-quality dairy products to consumers.”
Earlier this month, the Swiss packaging company partnered with SOLAREC to continue supplying it with aseptic carton-filling machines.
The machines provided by SIG are renowned for their advanced technology and efficiency in filling and sealing cartons.
They are designed to ensure the highest level of product quality and safety, while also preserving the freshness and integrity of the dairy products.
SIG has announced that four new Midi 12 Aseptic filling machines will replace the outdated production lines at SOLAREC.
