Bobst North America to showcase label and flexible packaging solutions at Atlanta Open House

NORTH AMERICA – Bobst North America is set to showcase its latest label and flexible packaging solutions at an Open House event in Atlanta on December 3, 2024.

The event will take place at the newly inaugurated Bobst Atlanta Competence Center, which is dedicated to serving customers in the label and flexible packaging sectors.

The center highlights the company’s expertise in flexo, digital, and all-in-one printing services and offers learning, collaboration, and innovation opportunities.

During the Open House, Bobst will demonstrate how its vision for the future of packaging focuses on four key pillars: connectivity, digitalization, automation, and sustainability.

A major highlight will be the cloud-based platform Bobst Connect, which provides users an end-to-end view of the production process, from the initial PDF to the final product.

This platform helps converters enhance productivity, improve efficiency, and reduce waste while offering ongoing updates and capabilities, such as the integration of the Bobst AccuCheck system to track and optimize production quality.

Attendees will have the opportunity to see several technologies in action, including the Digital Master 340, an all-in-one modular platform, and the Digital Expert 340, a roll-to-roll UV inkjet press.

Bobst will also demonstrate the production of short-run flexible packaging on the highly automated Master M6 flexo press.

The all-in-one label production concept, which integrates printing, finishing, die-cutting, and quality control in a single pass, will be a focal point, showcasing faster job changeovers, reduced waste, and profitable short-run production.

In addition to technology demonstrations, industry leaders will present insights on the latest market trends and challenges.

Guests will also have the opportunity to explore Bobst Services and take a behind-the-scenes tour of the new Competence Center.

Matt Bennett, label zone business director for North America at Bobst, emphasized that the event will showcase how Bobst transforms the packaging world through its advanced solutions that simplify label production while promoting sustainability.

Bobst readies for Labelexpo India 2024

Looking ahead to Labelexpo India 2024, Bobst will also be exhibiting its narrow-mid web flexo products for labels and flexible packaging.

The event will take place in Greater Noida in November, where Bobst will highlight its commitment to connectivity, digitalization, automation, and sustainability.

The company will feature its high-performance flexo machines, equipped with advanced UV LED curing technology that delivers high print quality while reducing energy consumption and environmental impact.

At Labelexpo, visitors will experience Bobst’s Extended Color Gamut Technology (oneECG), which enhances color management while cutting electricity use, setup time, and ink consumption.

The company will also demonstrate its high-performance die-cutting machinery and flexo automation features, allowing label converters to meet increasing speed, efficiency, and sustainability demands.

Attendees can explore Bobst Connect, the cloud-based platform that provides real-time data and insights to improve operational efficiency across narrow web printing workflows.

Peter Woods, zone business director for labels in the APAC region at Bobst, expressed enthusiasm about connecting with attendees and showcasing Bobst’s comprehensive flexo technology portfolio, which can handle a wide range of applications.
