USA – Eastgate Group, a leading provider of contract package labeling & decorating services, has announced the expansion of its beverage can sleeving line to meet the growing demand from manufacturers of beverages.
The company’s investment in state-of-the-art technology and equipment will allow for additional production capacity and the ability to produce full-height pallets for customers needing them.
According to Eastgate Group, the new line is designed to handle nearly any size or shape of a can, including standard, slim and sleek.
The shrink sleeves offer beverage brands unlimited graphic potential in various options such as matte, metallics, gloss and tactile varnish.
Eastgate Group VP Grady Ludeke said: “When we entered the can sleeving market in 2019, most of our customers actually preferred half-height pallets, but as our customers have continued to grow in size and scale, the need for a full-height option became clear.
“Full-height pallets allow our customers to produce more efficiently by reducing the number of pallets they load into their filling line.”
Ludeke continued: “While many suppliers have exited the market, we remain committed to providing the highest quality sleeved cans at industry-leading prices and lead times.
“We know that when a customer comes to us with a project, they’re trusting us to take good care of their brand, and we take that incredibly seriously.”
The investment comes at a time when the global beverage cans market size is expected to reach US$53.22 billion by 2028, according to a new report by Research and Market, expanding at a CAGR of 5.1% over the forecast period.
The market is expected to witness growth owing to the rising demand for sustainable products coupled with the demand for a convenient packaging solution for beverages.
The growth is also due to the increasing adoption of packaging solutions that offer sustainability and high recyclability coupled with aluminum’s properties, such as low weight and excellent molding abilities compared to its counterparts.
Manufacturers are focused on innovative technology, such as temperature-sensitive inks, to make cans vibrant, attractive and convenient to use.
The technology used in the production of beverage cans has become more modern and sophisticated than in the past.
It has encouraged an increasing number of manufacturers to be innovative in how they create their packaging. As a result, the packaging has become safer and more efficient.
