ETG Bio Green Polymer to launch innovative manufacturing facility in KEZAD

UAE – Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD Group), the UAE’s largest operator of integrated economic zones, has signed a 50-year land lease agreement with ETG Bio Green Polymer, a global leader in sustainable manufacturing, to establish a state-of-the-art compostable polymers factory in KEZAD Al Ma’mourah (KEZAD A).

Aa reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM), the facility will focus on producing 100% sustainable polymers, helping businesses transition to plastic-free packaging solutions.

The project aligns with Abu Dhabi’s sustainability vision and reinforces KEZAD’s position as a hub for green industries. 

ETG is investing AED 150 million (US$40.84m) in the 22,000-square-meter facility, underscoring its commitment to pioneering green technologies.

The plant will manufacture compostable polymer resin, accelerating the packaging industry’s shift toward eco-friendly solutions and supporting KEZAD’s efforts to drive sustainable manufacturing.

By leveraging KEZAD’s world-class infrastructure, strategic market access, and business-friendly regulatory environment, ETG aims to expand its regional presence while contributing to a circular economy.

Mohamed Al Khadar Al Ahmed, CEO of KEZAD Group, welcomed ETG’s investment, stating, “We are proud to welcome ETG to KEZAD’s expanding community of sustainable businesses. As a leader in bio-compostable packaging, ETG’s presence marks a significant step forward in reducing environmental impact and advancing industrial sustainability.

Kishore Kumar Reddy, CEO and Co-founder of ETG, emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability, “At ETG, we believe sustainability is the future of packaging. Our new facility in KEZAD marks a critical step in eliminating plastic and setting new benchmarks for eco-friendly manufacturing.”

Co-founders Shoukath Ali and Tariq Iqbal echoed this sentiment, highlighting their enthusiasm for partnering with KEZAD to drive innovation and support the UAE’s sustainability goals. 

The polymers industry is undergoing a transformation, embracing circular economy principles to design reusable and recyclable products that minimize environmental impact.

With its new KEZAD facility, ETG aims to lead this shift, setting new standards for sustainable production while driving growth in the eco-friendly manufacturing sector.
