UK – Absolut has unveiled a limited-edition bottle in collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, inspired by the rediscovery of Warhol’s iconic Absolut ‘blue’ painting.
The bottle features a multi-layered screen-printed design, creating a visually artistic and layered aesthetic that brings Warhol’s 1985 painting to life through the magnification of Absolut Vodka within.
Each shade of blue has been meticulously extracted from Warhol’s painting, strikingly resembling the original and an attractive finish.
The final design details include an image of Warhol and his original signature.
Nancy Baghdadi, director of portfolio and innovation at Absolut Vodka, said, “Absolut Warhol isn’t just a beautiful bottle for our quality vodka; it’s a tribute to artistry and cutting-edge technology, qualities that Andy Warhol himself embodied.
“The packaging is about inviting our customers on a voyage of discovery and exploration accompanied by Absolut’s digital world. Every sip is an opportunity to delve into a captivating story.”
Hunter Luxury provides exquisite wooden pack for Glenglassaugh Distillery
Hunter Luxury has partnered with Brown-Forman, owner of Jack Daniel’s, and Glenglassaugh Distillery to create a wooden pack to launch a limited line of whisky – The Serpentine Coastal Cask Collection.
The luxury packaging specialists designed an exquisite box made from hand-carved oak, crafted to display a unique wave shape representing the North Sea waves and driftwood patterns near the distillery.
The wood is hand-painted to highlight the oak’s deep grain, complementing the wave design’s naturalistic curves.
Each black box features a unique plaque detailing its cask number and the customer it was bottled for, ensuring each package is unique and personal.
Paul Hamilton, head of wine & spirits at Hunter Luxury, said, “Every element of the final design was entirely bespoke and tailor-made for this project.
“The doors of the case were sealed with a heavyweight medallion made from a cast zinc alloy, decorated with a blue enamel and gold design precisely color-matched to every other decorative element.
“The packaging evokes feelings of the tides of change experienced over the decades of maturation with the bespoke, wave-like design.”
The exterior of the black case is adorned with delicate gold lettering indicating the age of the whisky inside, and a metal plaque showing the cask it was expressed from.
Hunter Luxury used a bespoke, sustainably produced woven fiber material lined with opulent microfibre faux suede to complete the mount.
