UK – Sealed Air Corporation (SEE) has launched Prismiq, a portfolio of solutions for design services, digital printing and connected packaging, focussed on the food supply chain.
Prismiq has been designed as a one-stop shop for brand owners to have an easily accessible data set for their customers and allow them to streamline and connect all product information in one place, as well as design the packaging.
According to the company the new portfolio includes design services for creative design, including prototyping, and digital printing to enable personalization and smart packaging.
Alessandra Secchi, director of design and smart packaging for EMEA at Sealed Air, said digital packaging can also contribute to the sustainability goals of food processors by allowing unique information to be printed directly on each package, digital printing eliminates the need to print and apply a separate label that hinders recyclability.
“The Prismiq portfolio of services is more than just a different way of communicating on the package, which is where most brand owners start,” said Secchi.
“One of the differences between what people think smart packaging is today – i.e., a QR code that links the user to a website – is the digitization of the product.
“It’s about making everything that was produced at a given time unique by creating its digital identity also known as the digital twin.”
Dustin Semach hired as CFO Designate
Meanwhile, SEE has hired Dustin Semach of customer connection technology company TTEC Holdings Inc. to replace CFO Chris Stephens, who announced last October he would retire in 2023.
To ensure a seamless transition of responsibilities, Chris will retire from the company following the filing of the Company’s Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the first quarter of 2023.
Dustin has approximately 20 years of financial leadership experience at companies primarily in the technology sector.
He most recently served as the CFO of TTEC, a global customer experience technology and services provider, and as CFO of Rackspace Technology, a global cloud services provider.
He has also held senior-level positions at DXC Technology, Computer Sciences Corporation and IBM.
Ted Doheny, President & CEO of SEE said: “After a thorough internal and external search, we are excited that Dustin, with his unique background in both finance and digital technology, will be an important addition to the SEE team as we execute our Reinvent SEE 2.0, high-quality growth strategy.
“I look forward to Dustin quickly integrating into our team, accelerating our transformation into a world-class organization, and partnering with customers to deliver digital packaging solutions.”
