The DP260 promises efficient, cost-effective case packing with enhanced flexibility

PORTUGAL – Serpa, a leading packaging technology manufacturer, will introduce its innovative DP260 drop packer at Pack EXPO Las Vegas, scheduled for September 29 to October 1, 2025.
Designed for personal care, food, and household products, the DP260 promises efficient, cost-effective case packing with enhanced flexibility.
According to company representatives, this machine marks Serpa’s entry into the drop packing segment, expanding its portfolio to meet diverse industry needs.
The DP260 offers single and tandem drop options, achieving speeds of up to 60 cases per minute while maintaining affordability.
Its design prioritizes user-friendly operation, enabling quick adjustments to lane and case sizes with minimal maintenance.
Justin Neece, Serpa’s Vice President and General Manager, stated, “We’re adding a standard drop application to our case packers to meet a wider range of packaging needs, focusing on speed and ease of use.”
The machine accommodates various product sizes and packaging formats, from sauces and condiments to disinfectants and household chemicals.
Clean Control Corporation has already purchased the DP260, set to be shipped to their Warner Robins, Georgia, facility post-exhibition.
The company plans to use it to automate their production line for 32-ounce OdoBan disinfectant spray bottles.
Nic Bekkers, Technical Manager at Clean Control, noted that their current manual case packing process is labor-intensive, causing inefficiencies.
He expressed optimism that the DP260 will streamline operations and boost productivity by addressing these challenges.
In a statement, Serpa highlighted the DP260’s durability, with a robust design built to last over 20 years and reduce maintenance costs.
The machine features tool-less changeovers, allowing a single operator to complete adjustments in minutes, minimizing downtime.
Its servo-driven case elevator ensures gentle product placement, reducing the risk of damage during packing.
Recent industry updates indicate growing interest in sustainable packaging solutions at Pack EXPO 2025.
A report by Packaging World noted that exhibitors like Aagard and PAC Machinery will showcase equipment designed for recycled materials and eco-friendly packaging, complementing Serpa’s focus on efficiency.
This trend highlights the industry’s shift toward automation and sustainability, with machines like the DP260 enabling companies to optimize production while adapting to modern packaging demands.
