The product aims to enhance in-store packaging with improved durability, product protection, and ease of handling

ITALY – Tosca, a leader in reusable packaging solutions, has introduced its Crystal Clear reusable display as a sustainable alternative to single-use cardboard displays for the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
Launched on September 3, 2025, the product aims to enhance in-store packaging with improved durability, product protection, and ease of handling, while addressing growing environmental concerns.
The Crystal Clear display, crafted from durable, hygienic plastic, offers a modular platform that balances standardized structure for operational efficiency with customizable branding options.
Its transparent design provides a versatile backdrop for marketing, enabling brands to showcase products effectively at the point of sale (POS).
According to Tosca, this setup encourages impulse purchases and drives sales by enhancing product visibility.
Laurent Le Mercier, president of Tosca EMEA, emphasized the urgency of sustainable solutions, stating, “The time for transformation on the retail sales floor is now, with regulators, retailers, and consumers pushing for sustainability.”
The launch comes as the European Union’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations prioritize reusable packaging.
Tosca notes that Crystal Clear displays are typically exempt from EPR fees, offering compliance and cost savings for businesses.
The company’s pooling service ensures these units are tracked, maintained, and ready for promotional campaigns, streamlining supply chain operations.
Additionally, Tosca reports that switching to Crystal Clear can cut CO2 emissions by up to 70%, saving 400, 600 kg of CO2 equivalent per unit compared to cardboard alternatives.
Designed for versatility, the displays support up to 36 kg per shelf, accommodating heavy products like beverages.
Their foldable, modular design simplifies assembly and storage, reducing labor time and backroom waste.
A recent industry update from August 2025 highlights that similar reusable packaging solutions are gaining traction, with companies like DS Smith noting that the PPWR’s 2030 recyclability mandates are driving innovation in the sector, further supporting Tosca’s initiative.
Tosca’s Crystal Clear displays cater to the FMCG sector’s need for sustainable, high-performance packaging.
By integrating durability, customization, and regulatory compliance, the solution offers retailers and brands a practical way to reduce environmental impact while maintaining strong in-store presence.
The company’s focus on reusable systems signals a broader shift toward circular economy practices in retail.
