SWITZERLAND – Aseptic carton packaging supplier SIG has appointed Ann-Kristin Erkens to the Group Executive Board as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective 1 November 2023.

Ann-Kristin joins from Henkel, a DAX-40 company, where she most recently served as Corporate Senior Vice President and Financial Director for the Adhesives Technologies business, the global market leader in adhesives, sealants and functional coatings.

She has spent 21 years at Henkel gaining significant experience in the industrial sector. In addition to her role as Financial Director of Adhesives Technologies, she was responsible for Global Operations and Supply Chain Adhesive Technologies with more than 100 factories worldwide from 2019 to 2023 and for the region of Europe as of 2023.

Prior to that, she was Financial Commercial Director for the Packaging Adhesives Business and the region India, Middle East and Africa. Within the broader Henkel Group, she previously served as Corporate Director of Group Strategy.

Ann-Kristin holds a degree in business management and industrial engineering from the University of Applied Sciences, Wedel, Germany, and a Master of Science in operations management from the University of Buckingham, UK. She is a German citizen and will be based at SIG’s headquarters in Switzerland.

Roberts Mart expands development team

 

Meanwhile, Flexible packaging manufacturer Roberts Mart has recruited another remember in Amy McGuire to its business development team.

Amy has over nine years of industry experience to bring to the role having had responsibility for managing a large UK portfolio of clients prior to joining Roberts Mart.

She hopes to introduce the range of products and innovative solutions to a wider customer audience, highlighting the sustainable options that are an important part of the Roberts Mart offering.

On her appointment, Amy said: “The people and culture here at Roberts Mart are like nowhere else; there is real passion and a vast amount of experience. I feel part of the team already and am excited for the months ahead.”

She will work alongside her colleagues in the business development team with a focus on new markets as well as introducing new solutions to their long-standing clients.

Recent investment in new machinery including a new pouch machine and a planned facility expansion mean Roberts Mart can easily manage an increase in contracts, business turnover having already increased turnover to just under £45 million over the previous year.
