The new company will also introduce digitally enabled safety monitoring tools to foster a zero-harm culture.

UAE – Tadweer Group, the Emirate’s sole custodian of waste management and a key player in advancing the circular economy, has unveiled Tadweer Collection (Tajmee’e), a new subsidiary designed to revolutionise waste collection across Abu Dhabi.
The launch marks a major milestone in Tadweer Group’s mission to create a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable Emirate, while supporting the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 and circular economy goals.
Ashly Alex, a veteran with over 20 years of global expertise in waste management and recovery, has been appointed CEO of Tajmee’e.
Under his leadership, the company will set new benchmarks in operational performance, environmental sustainability, and technology-driven service delivery.
Tajmee’e’s next-generation fleet will feature AI-powered route optimization, cutting fuel use and emissions while ensuring faster and more efficient waste collection
The company will also introduce digitally enabled safety monitoring tools to foster a zero-harm culture, improve workforce wellbeing, and ensure cleaner, safer streets.
Integrated with real-time tracking and predictive analytics, the system promises higher service reliability, reduced operational costs, and greater responsiveness to community needs.
Ali Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of Tadweer Group, said the launch represents a step-change in national waste management efforts.
“The launch of Tajmee’e marks a fundamental shift in how we approach waste collection, acting as a catalyst for environmental innovation, operational excellence, and national progress,” he said.
“Our next-generation fleet and AI systems will deliver consistent, high-quality service for a cleaner Abu Dhabi, while advancing the UAE’s Net Zero agenda.”
Alex echoed the sentiment, noting Tajmee’e’s role as a standard-setter in sustainable services.
“Tajmee’e is built on the principle of service excellence, integrating AI-driven systems with best-in-class safety practices. This represents the future of waste collection, and I am proud to lead this new chapter in Abu Dhabi’s journey toward sustainability,” he said.
Built with scalability in mind, Tajmee’e is designed as a replicable model for regional and global markets.
Beyond efficient collection, the subsidiary will contribute to emissions reduction, landfill diversion, and resource recovery, while supporting Tadweer Group’s goal of diverting 80% of Abu Dhabi’s waste from landfills by 2030.
As part of its nationwide awareness efforts, Tadweer Group will also use Tajmee’e to engage residents and businesses in better waste practices, ensuring communities remain at the heart of Abu Dhabi’s green transition.
