SUEZ strengthens Middle East leadership with Faten Kalloub as regional HR Director

MIDDLE EAST – SUEZ has appointed Faten Kalloub as Regional HR Director for the Middle East and Central Asia, bringing nearly two decades of human resources and organizational development experience to strengthen the company’s water and waste management operations across the region.

Kalloub joins the global environmental services leader after more than seven years with Tractebel, where she served as Head of HR – Middle East and later held regional leadership responsibilities covering HR, QHSSE, and communications.

In her new role, she will lead regional HR strategy, talent development, and organizational transformation initiatives supporting SUEZ’s water and waste management services.

A Career Built on Strategic Leadership

Kalloub’s diverse background spans engineering, education, hospitality, real estate, and consulting sectors.

She has held HR leadership roles at Inspire COE, Binghatti Holding, the University of Modern Sciences, and Consolidated Consultants Group.

At the University of Modern Sciences, she established the human resources department from the ground up, overseeing recruitment, payroll, training, performance management, and compensation structures.

She later moved into a Group HR Manager role overseeing strategy across multiple industries including hospitality, real estate, investment, FMCG, construction, and architecture.

Her early career included supporting the expansion of Consolidated Consultants Group in the UAE during its regional growth phase.

SUEZ’s Regional Footprint

SUEZ operates across the Middle East and Central Asia, providing water management, wastewater treatment, and waste management solutions to municipal and industrial clients in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Kazakhstan.

The company has been involved in major wastewater treatment projects across the Gulf Cooperation Council, including the Jebel Ali wastewater treatment plant expansion in Dubai and the Doha North sewage treatment plant in Qatar.

Strategic HR for a Transforming Sector

Kalloub’s appointment comes as the water and waste management sector in the Middle East undergoes rapid transformation.

Governments across the region are investing heavily in infrastructure modernization, with the GCC water and wastewater treatment market projected to reach approximately US$25 billion by 2030.

As these projects scale, demand for skilled talent across engineering, operations, and management has intensified.

Kalloub holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resource Management from a Dubai-based university and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Baghdad, where she graduated with top honors.
