The move is a key part of ABG’s strategy to expand its flexible packaging offerings, which includes a new partnership and products.

UK – A B Graphic International (ABG) has ramped up its efforts in the flexible packaging sector through recent trade show appearances and a key personnel addition.
The company highlighted its growing FlexPack lineup at several prominent European events, drawing crowds interested in its machinery for pouches and shrink sleeves.
At FachPack in Nürnberg, Germany, attendees observed ABG’s shrink-sleeve Seaming Rewinder operating live.
Company specialists were available to explain its features and potential uses in production lines.
This display followed ABG’s earlier presentation at Labelexpo Europe, where the firm first unveiled expanded capabilities in flexible solutions.
There, ABG ran demonstrations of the Galaxy GS-24 TSG pouch-making machine, emphasizing its accuracy in handling various materials.
Visitors engaged with the equipment, exploring options for custom pouch formats that suit diverse packaging needs.
In a related move, ABG named Vicky Roberts as its global business development sales lead for FlexPack. Roberts now heads the team, focusing on customer outreach across regions and fostering new project opportunities.
Her appointment aims to support the division’s expansion in international markets.
Looking ahead, ABG plans hands-on sessions at its FlexPack Centre of Excellence in Girona, Spain, on October 22 and 23.
The events will feature the Galaxy GS-20 pouch-making machine in operation, with ABG and Galaxy staff providing insights into the full production cycle.
Matt Burton, ABG’s global sales director, commented on the recent activities: “The response to our FlexPack offering across Labelexpo, FachPack and the K Show has been outstanding.”
“With a dedicated team, a global sales lead in place and our new Centre of Excellence in Girona, we’re in a fantastic position to accelerate growth in this market.”
Burton added that customer inquiries point to demand for reliable flexible packaging equipment. He noted the company’s readiness to supply such technologies amid rising needs.
According to a report by Sustainable Packaging Middle East & Africa, active packaging innovations are emerging as a key area in the region.
Technologies like oxygen scavengers, ethylene absorbers and antimicrobial films help extend fruit shelf life, cutting down on food waste.
These developments support broader goals of minimizing environmental impact through smarter material use.
In the Middle East and Africa, such approaches gain importance as producers adapt to stricter regulations on waste.
ABG’s pouch systems, with their precise control over sealing and material flow, fit into this shift by enabling lighter, more efficient designs that reduce overall packaging volume.
