Acquisition Roundup: Schades Group acquires Hamilton Adhesive Labels, Cyklop, Maxcess expand through strategic buys

UK – Schades Group, a leading European player in paper rolls and labelling materials, has acquired Hamilton Adhesive Labels, a UK-based converter of printed and plain labels.

This acquisition will diversify Schades’ product offerings and reinforce its market position.

Schades Group operates multiple locations across Europe, producing sustainable paper rolls, self-adhesive labels, and food wraps.

The company is part of Harbour Investment’s portfolio, a major investor in the paper industry. The acquisition aligns with Harbour’s business transformation strategy, product diversification, and expansion of its presence in the UK label manufacturing sector.

Established in 1992, Hamilton Adhesive Labels serves various sectors, including food, drink, automotive, and household care. Its 45,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Bardon, Leicestershire, will now play a central role in Schades’ growth strategy.

Jack Hugill, Schades’ Managing Director, said, “We are excited to welcome Hamilton Adhesive Labels into the Schades family. This acquisition strengthens our position in label manufacturing and allows us to deliver greater value to our customers.”

Maxcess expands nonwoven capabilities with International Cutting Die acquisition

Maxcess International has strengthened its presence in the nonwoven industry by acquiring International Cutting Die (ICD), a precision manufacturer of cutting dies and tools.

This acquisition allows Maxcess to integrate ICD’s cutting-edge technologies, such as Tungsten Carbide and Powdered Metal dies, into its existing product portfolio, further enhancing its capabilities.

ICD has over 50 years of experience in nonwovens, packaging, and more industries.

Maxcess CEO Odd Joergenrud noted, “By combining ICD’s innovations with our global leadership in narrow web die cutting, we are now better positioned to serve the growing demand for solutions in the nonwoven, tag, and label industries.”

ICD’s General Manager, Kevin McEnery, added, “Joining forces with Maxcess allows us to leverage their global resources and R&D capabilities to offer smarter, Industry 4.0-enabled cutting solutions. This partnership opens up new markets and opportunities for our products.”
